49ER MAN 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Nice move for the G-men to upgrade their LB's and you know Arrington will be extra motivated to face the Redskins twice a year. I still think they will pick another LB as they had just about every LB last year hurt come playoff time so they could some depth. Maybe a Bobby Carpenter of Ohio State is still on their radar. MSU Bigtime 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Reuniting him with Pierce.... damn the foreskins are idiots.... That LB corps will be solid... If the GMen land a dt and a corner, that defense will be rough. If Eli learns to win on the road, I think they win the NFCE and should push Seattle and Carolina for making the SB
mr.shitty 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Over-rated I agree hes over rated, buts hes still a solid LB and makes the giants a lot better
Portis26 0 Posted April 22, 2006 Giant fans will love his impact hits -- but will HATE the amount of plays he is out of position for, and tackles he misses.

Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 22, 2006 Giants | More on Arrington deal Sat, 22 Apr 2006 15:21:36 -0700 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports agent Kevin Poston didn't say how much was guaranteed in LB LaVar Arrington's contract, but New York Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi indicated that it includes performance bonuses. To get the $7 million-per-year, Arrington and the Giants agreed to load the deal with incentives. Arrington, who will get a $5.25 million signing bonus, will receive a base salary worth around $3.7 million a year. With reachable incentives, Arrington can make $5 million a year and with maximum performance, he can take the deal to $49 million if he completes the seven years of his contract. With a 5.25 million signing bonus, the risk isn't that big. I'd say it's a pretty good signing.
