Shockey fan 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Many reports say Fred Taylor wants out. Greg Jones did a great job filling in last year, but many say he is not the guy. Looking for JAX homers or people with opinions on this - thanks.
CA_7 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Until some definitive event, like Fred getting cut, happens this is the worst RBBC situation in the NFL.

mikeso 0 Posted May 1, 2006 i see greg jones as a FB...drew will win that job....but FF wise i would stay away from jags backfield..
Sportslitter 0 Posted May 1, 2006 The Jax backfield has potential to be great in real life. But a mess in fantasy football. They will all split carriers. Even if Fred get's cut, Drew will be the 1st and 2nd down back, Pearman 3rd down, and GJones short distance and goaline back. It's too split up to justify starting any 1 player, unless injuries happen.
Portis26 0 Posted May 1, 2006 i see greg jones as a FB...drew will win that job....but FF wise i would stay away from jags backfield.. so your handing it over to a guy who is 5'7; come one... Drew is good, change a pace back, and will work well with Pearman and Jones - but no way in hell Drew is getting 25 carries a game --

Joe Willie 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Until some definitive event, like Fred getting cut, happens this is the worst RBBC situation in the NFL. Fred isn't going to be cut (this year) and barring injury (I know - fragile Fred and all), he will be the starter. Jones is the FB and Pearman and Drew will fight it out to be the 3rd down/change of pace back.

Again I'll say I think Freddy has a huge year yardage wise getting himslef ready for FAency, but Jones will get the TDs. Drew and Pearman will compete for 3rd and kick/punt returns this year. As a Jags fan and team follower unless something crazy happens Fred will be the starter, Drew will return punts and kickoffs and Pearman will be the 3rd down back. I suspect that Drew will also be mixed in with 3rd down duties as well. Jones will go back to the feature role in FB and will mix in with Fred every now and then. Like it has been said it's not a good fantasy situation but it should be good for us this year as we march toward winning the AFC south.
ellisonb11 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Don't forget about Toefield. yea dont forget about this guy...he had an injury plagued season last year but came back and had himself a 3 td game...Fred is still the man for the jags, but his carries are limited..and drew is DEF not the man... i didnt like the pick because he will primarily be a return man... the jags need to wait and take a rb in the first round in the upcoming years.
