CurlyNight 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Suns looking like they will take the series.
Voltaire 5,505 Posted May 23, 2006 They get a run and look to bust it open then the Clippers chip away at it. I'm trying to figure out who to root for. The Suns would have been destroyed -again- by the Spurs but with Dallas on tap, maybe the Suns can play better against them. Either way, I'd love for the winner of this to beat Dallas. CurlyNight 0 Posted May 23, 2006 I think Mavs will win the western conf. Spurs were the toughest to beat, and they've done that.
Voltaire 5,505 Posted May 23, 2006 Hey CN, what's your pulse on the mood in LA? Do you forsee any way that the fanbase tactonic plates could shift away from the Lakers and towards the Clippers? I think Mavs will win the western conf. Spurs were the toughest to beat, and they've done that. I agree. Either of these teams would be serious underdogs to Dallas. But for obvious reasons I don't want the Mavs in the finals, or at least have to work really hard to get there. I just can't figure out which of these two would give them the most trouble. If the Spurs had won, I would have liked to see the Clippers advance because the Suns were anihillated last year by the Spurs. Now, with Dallas being in, I don't know. CurlyNight 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Hey CN, what's your pulse on the mood in LA? Do you forsee any way that the fanbase tactonic plates could shift away from the Lakers and towards the Clippers? I think it has. Folks are sorta going with both teams now as their team. If one doesn't do it, then root for the other. I'm sure there are hardcore clip and laker fans, but I'm guessing what I've said is pretty much true. They showed the stars that are normally sitting front court for only the home Laker games in Phoenix rooting hard for the clips. I don't think the Lakers will ever lose a substantial # of fans because they have won championships recently. I think as long as Kobe and Phil are there that interest in them will remain very high than before when there were no real stars or high profile coach like Phil. Voltaire 5,505 Posted May 23, 2006 Imagine if Omare was healthy. His absense is a huge loss for the Suns. They'd have a heck of a better chance of beating Dallas and neither of these LA teams would have lasted seven games.
CurlyNight 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Wellll, this game is exciting.
Voltaire 5,505 Posted May 23, 2006 Wellll, this game is exciting. Just goes to show that 'high scoring' and 'exciting' don't always go hand in hand. Nash vs. the Mavs, I expect to see lots of stories on this subject.

Voltaire 5,505 Posted May 23, 2006 Actually, I narowly escaped owing some dude a lap dance. Um... what was the exact bet, how did this bet come across, and who's idea was it about the lap dance?
Bratwurst 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Joke between old friends. I owed the winner a lap dance. Luckily, I won. Not my idea, never actually agreed to it. Still, glad I won. As is everyone else.
