matt3171 0 Posted June 18, 2006 Hey guys, here's the dilemma: My keeper league each year has a 1 round rookie draft, this year I am tenth pick. I'm on the clock untill tomorrow morning and I needa WR. I was set to take Chad Jackson but the guy before me nabbed him! So I am leaning towards Holmes, BUT Demetrius Williams and Greg Jennings look very intriguing.... What should I do? None of this would be a problem if Jimmy didnt retire lol... I would have drafted defense or something. Please hit me with some input and I will give you mine on any questions you might have. Thanks, Matt

Captain Lou 0 Posted June 19, 2006 I would take Williams and his QB's potential over Big Ben and his running game for long term. No contest IMO.
What is the deal? 1 Posted June 19, 2006 what about that dude from Den.? or Moss?
Da Bomb 0 Posted June 19, 2006 if you only really get to keep the guy for this one year, then it has to be santonio holmes or sinorice moss. the little WRs are having fun in the NFL right now, so these guys will be decent. i like greg jennings better long term, but not right away. I am pretty sure that this is a keeper league with a one round rookie draft. Probably can keep guys for as long as he wants most likely with limits on roster spots. I honestly cannot remember the last time the Steelers had two very productive receivers. Holmes will catch some footballs this season, but long term I think Williams will have a better opportunity in a year or two. The other thought is to target another teams back up running back and deal him down the road for a productive second or third year guy. Maybe the Kevin Jones owner would love to have a back like Calhoun. I just recently used a 10 pick on him, but I did have numerous first rounders.
SoloMatisse 0 Posted June 19, 2006 just draft Jerius Norwood with the Atlanta Falcons........he's a RB, but he's surely not drafted yet, and he's got TONS of potential with that team. Even though the others are right....youre on the wrong board....I love how people spell that BORED around here all the time. By the way, if you ever see a simple word like that misspelled, Id go ahead and look past that guy's advice from there on. jmo and good luck.
Scothawk 2 Posted June 19, 2006 I would take Norwood too. You can always trade him to the Dunn owner at the first scent of a tightened hammy. Or to the Duckett owner so that he still hs the Atlant #2 RB.
