piece of work 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Just wondering with his small injury risk...ex. seems to miss a few games a year. Where is his ranking among other rb's this coming year. Also....will ryan moats or any other take that much away from his time on the field besides a blow every once in a while? thoughts
The Moz 69 Posted June 19, 2006 If healthy wESTY IS A TOP 5 - 8 rb with PPR leagues. i would draft him 8 - 10 .

Also....will ryan moats or any other take that much away from his time on the field besides a blow every once in a while? thoughts I just ran the numbers using FFToday's projections. Using their standard scoring, Westbrook is the 15th rated RB. If you add in one point per reception, though, Westbrook rises to #8. Don't overvalue him. Rushing yards still count, and Westy's not a 1000-yard rusher, and some of those 1000 yd rushers do post receiving totals that approach Westbrook's (LT, Tiki, LaMont Jordan). Still, he looks like a late first rounder in PPR leagues.

Our's is PPR he will not go in the first round to any of the 12 teams in our league. He'll go mid to late first round. I think everyone expects him to get hurt. ellisonb11 0 Posted June 19, 2006 in the draft im currently in, he went 1.10, and its PPR. hes a very valuable back with the catches he gets out of the backfield. lamont jordan's value also increses in PPR leagues.
icecheeze 0 Posted June 20, 2006 i just took him 12th overall in a ten team league (took ronnie brown with the 9th pick)...i just like him a little better than caddy and lamont, who were 13 and 16...

pee-diddy 27 Posted June 20, 2006 I'm in 2 PPR leagues and I'd be happy w/ Westy as my #2 but nervous w/ him as my #1 RB. I'd feel comfy taking him in the 2nd round. Too much of an injury risk.
Kopy 568 Posted June 20, 2006 If healthy wESTY IS A TOP 5 - 8 rb with PPR leagues. i would draft him 8 - 10 . I agree with your 8-10 ranking. However I wouldn't draft westy, without knowing I was going to draft Moats also. With tunnel vision, you'd probably be locked into drafting him alittle earlier than usual. But I think this would be a must. This could be one of the top handcuffing combos drafted this year.

LaMont makes a stiff case for the #4 RB in a PPR. That dude who got him at 16 should be .
ajmplaya69 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Prubully Tiki at 4 and Lamont at the 5. Wheres Portis and Steven Jackson in a PPR league?
heavy-set 39 Posted June 21, 2006 If healthy wESTY IS A TOP 5 - 8 rb with PPR leagues. i would draft him 8 - 10 . the point is though, he is never healthy. he is an oddity in FF, you dont want him to get alot of touches cuz he will just breakdown faster
Sexual Harassment Panda 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Prubully Tiki at 4 and Lamont at the 5. Wheres Portis and Steven Jackson in a PPR league? Portis would not be in my top 7 RB's in a PPR league...but Jackson might, especially if Faulk is completely out of the picture.
Steel City Blues 0 Posted June 21, 2006 I'm the fool who drafted Westy at 1.10 in a twelve teamer. Obviously you know my take. I'd rather have Westy as my #1 than allow someone else to steal the best possible #2 back in a PPR league. Odd thing is, those that pass on Westy readily agree he'll score 5-8 if he makes it through the season. Injury is too hard to predict unless it Priest we are discussing. I'd snap up Lamont Jordan over Westy too Ellison. Had LJordan last year and he rocked.
