jedeye 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Need to add depth at RB behind my starters of Rudi and S. Jackson. I have the chance to add either Droughns or Chester Taylor. I have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Droughns - solid, but unspectacular Taylor is more of a mystery. His potential outweighs Droughs by alot, I believe. But he could also bust. Sure & steady vs Risk & reward.
sharkie22 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Only my opinion but here goes. I'd go with Droughns. I think Clevelands defense will be improved which helps keep the Browns out of catch up mode and with Winslow (hopefully) healthy and playing they should be able to sustain more drives and raise Ruebens TD's to more like 7-8. He'll get yards. Taylor on the other hand had an opportunity to show something last year with Lewis playing poorly and didn't do a whole lot and apparently he's overweight and outta shape so far at mini's. Typically not the best way to solidy a starting RB role as a pro... That's not to say he won't / can't rebound and have a solid season but I think Droughns upside may be a bit more than some think and Taylors down side may be more realistic than some people want. harken34 0 Posted July 11, 2006 Taylor Droughns !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chester may not be the goaline back Chester will be a goaline back and the biggest thing is the Browns are going to suck again and the Vikings wont.
Force of Two 0 Posted July 11, 2006 I go with Taylor....especially if its PPR scoring....Hutchinson and Mount McKinnie on the left side will pave holes at the GL for Taylor
larrymcirish 0 Posted July 11, 2006 My philosophy is that Rudi & Steve will stay healthy. Therefore I go with Chester because of potential.
semaj33 0 Posted July 11, 2006 its a toss up...i had both of these guys this off season and traded droughns if that tells you anything, because of his ridiculiously hard schedule especially during the fantasy playoffs...cleveland is going against the hardest run schedule of any team this up coming season.... i also agree with the other posts about rudi and steve being pretty safe...and chester has a higher ceiling.... please see mine.. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=215332
Bezzerck 0 Posted July 11, 2006 I would go with Chester Taylor. Especially in a PPR league. The addition of Hutchinson will be very good. I expect Taylor to put up similar numbers as Lamont Joron did last year. He is a bit more risky but there a re less talented players backing him up than Droughns. And he has great hands. I have Droughns in my league but that is only becasue Taylor was taken one pick before me. biglou 2 Posted July 12, 2006 Chester Taylor has to potential to be a top 8 back. With their additions to the offensive line and Tony Richardson, Taylor should have a big year.
