Jay 0 Posted July 10, 2006 I almost stopped reading when back-to-back I read that Muhsin Muhammad and Rudi Johnson were overrated. I think both of them are underrated. Half the people on this board could have written better material than this article. Complete garbage.

Parja 0 Posted July 10, 2006 I almost stopped reading when back-to-back I read that Muhsin Muhammad and Rudi Johnson were overrated. I think both of them are underrated. Half the people on this board could have written better material than this article. Complete garbage. I think the problem with any article like this is perspective. Most on this bored will rate a player based on what they think he will accomplish fantasy-wise relative to their draft position. Most sports writers are going to rate a guy based on past performance, performance relative to salary, and ability to help their team win. Sure, Moose is a fantasy value for the 8th round ADP he's currently at, but he's never going to repeat his 2004 numbers and won't be worth the pile of money Chicago gave him. As far as Rudi, the writer of the article is on crack no matter the perspective. If anything, he's maybe a little overhyped fantasy-wise, but he's clearly underrated NFL-wise. devildog 0 Posted July 10, 2006 This is football wise NOT fantasy wise. I actually agree with a lot of what the writer had to say.

listen2me 23 1,873 Posted July 10, 2006 Prisco is a retard......he is seriously very bad at his job.... seems to me he just picked any used to be good vet that is getting pretty old to throw into the overrated list...I could do that... when is Bruce and C Martin Overrated?....Martin just led the league in Yds 2 years ago....both him and Bruce had bad seasons last year for the 1st time in a while so I guess they are OVERRATED....what a joke... Prisco = idiot. I stopped reading at CBS. I'm wondering why i didn't do the same....considering I usually do. Wow just got to the end and he says Sean Taylor is Underrated...!!! HAHAHAHA how when he is always in trouble and what not....everyone knows he has great skills...

Half the people on this board could have written better material than this article. Complete garbage. Moose will put up FAR better numbers this year then last, He will really benifit from a full injury free year from Rex, but even if rex goes down we have finally got a proven veteran backup in Griese and wont have to worry about some unknown rookie carrying our team.. Parkers99 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Fantasy wise or Standard football wise... calling Rudi & CMart overrated is just wrong.
escobante 0 Posted July 10, 2006 As far as Rudi, the writer of the article is on crack no matter the perspective. If anything, he's maybe a little overhyped fantasy-wise, but he's clearly underrated NFL-wise. the guy is talking out his ass on all of these. regarding the previously mentioned slite to Rudi, his reasoning is that Rudi doesn't have the big play speed. then he lists his underrated player, who he mentions performs despite his lack of speed. so is speed necessary or is it not? just because the guy is a pounding bruiser, he is automatically overrated because he isn't a scatback? and his response to rudi is chris perry. the same chris perry that can't stay on the field for more than two games in a row. but wait, didn't prisco just say that dan morgan of the panthers is overrated, not because of his play, but because of his injury history? pete prisco is an idiot. esoitl 0 Posted July 10, 2006 i read this at work..... very funny i can see his point on a few players but 75% of that list is retarded who still thinks highly enough of Martin and Bruce to think they are overrated? its not thinking fantasy wise of them either cause they get no love there either they are both vets on the down side of their career, both vets that people expect and see declining numbers from overrated, hardly the guy is talking out his ass on all of these. regarding the previously mentioned slite to Rudi, his reasoning is that Rudi doesn't have the big play speed. then he lists his underrated player, who he mentions performs despite his lack of speed. so is speed necessary or is it not? just because the guy is a pounding bruiser, he is automatically overrated because he isn't a scatback? and his response to rudi is chris perry. the same chris perry that can't stay on the field for more than two games in a row. but wait, didn't prisco just say that dan morgan of the panthers is overrated, not because of his play, but because of his injury history? pete prisco is an idiot. i especially loved this one Overrated: Running back Edgerrin James is a good, solid back, but he doesn't have game-breaking ability. The Cardinals needed him, and he will be productive, but he isn't the back his reputation would lead you to believe. za?? how many people are commenting on the fact that Indy is now missing a big piece because of Edge? how many people are giving credit now to the Arizona offense? RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted July 11, 2006 The list is perfect for one reason and one reaosn only: Underrated: Running back Steven Jackson is coming off a 1,000-yard season, which is OK, but he didn't carry it enough. In the new system, he will, which is why he could lead the league in rushing.
nobody 2,667 Posted July 11, 2006 I don't understand how anyone onthe Raiders besides Warren Sapp could be listed as their overrated player.

Of course he isn't going to produce like 2004. Neither is Steve Smith this year. Watch and see. However, if this article is supposed to be about real football, not fantasy, Muhammad had a very very good season last year, and if I was Chicago, I would be very happy with money well spent. He was double and sometimes triple teamed in the passing game as the ONLY threat on that team. I think he did a remarkable job. He also contributed well as a down-field blocker. The quarterback garbage that Chicago rolled out last year was pathetic. It was amazing that they did as well as they did.
