lguero1 4 Posted July 16, 2006 i am going to try to draft 2 of the top 14 RBs. then i am looking at either handcuffing 2 RBs for my 3rd, like Dillon/Maroney, Addai/Rhodes, Gore/Barlow, Dayne/Bell. if that gets messed up, i am looking at c. mart and/or a. green. the good thing about the GB RBs is they normally pick one and go with him. if they go to RBBC, forget about GB RBs. worth the risk at RB 3 or with another risk at RB 4. when you're at the end of the draft and desperate for a potential at RB, that is green time. remote controller 143 Posted July 16, 2006 I don't feel I'll be a taker, for I'll have 3 rb's by round 4, but those who grab Peyton, or the Value wideouts in rounds 2 and 3, might need to risk it on Green. He might be worth the risk at his current ADP.
twags22 0 Posted July 17, 2006 I can see Green being worth the risk in the middle rounds, but if you end up with him I'd pay attention to the depth chart and handcuff him because I don't see him making it through the season without some aggravation of the quad injury, it will always be a weak spot after that type of injury. twags22 0 Posted July 17, 2006 Then it's Najeh Time baby! That seems to be the prevailing consensus around here but I'd watch the preseason closely. I've said in other posts that I think Gado may just be one of those guys that appears one way in practice and completely different in game situations. The major flaw stated so far is that Gado has been having trouble with the zone blocking, who's to say Najeh won't have the same problems? And Najeh has his share of weak spots himself........watch that preseason closely.

He's fast, a good pass catcher, and runs hard. A guy with his build, though, may never make it through a full season healthy.
Byars41 0 Posted July 17, 2006 i'd take a flier on Gado if he's around late. i won't touch Davenport and i'll just let someone else roll the dice on Ahman way too early.

New coaching staff = all bets are off Then it's Najeh Time baby! Yeah, he'll perform great for that half game he's healthy.

HawgWild 0 Posted July 17, 2006 Worth the risk?? I doubt it but this is a situation that begs for the "Watch closely in the pre-season" answer...
Jeremy 0 Posted July 17, 2006 worth the risk?............NO So they're completely undraftable? At some point in the draft they become worth the risk. Since I live in WI, I won't have to worry about it. I won't be drafting any of them. Outside of Packer fans, I don't think many people see any of them as starting RB material, though. Polamalu43 0 Posted July 17, 2006 With the lack of feature backs available, any back that is in a position to get a good portion of his teams carries is a good risk. Just figure out about when you think the risk is worth taking. Green should be available in the mid rounds as a bye week/injury filler that could amount to more. I'd be willing to take a flier on Gado and Davenport later in the draft because I think either one has potential to grab carries. It is a situation worth watching that hopfully will pan itself out prior to most drafts.

Sorry should have qualified that...I meant weak spots as far as his health is concerned, but now that you mention it I'm not as sure about the rest of the package as you are. We'll have to watch this one closely.
Ron_Mexico 0 Posted July 17, 2006 I think that the only RB worth drafting in a dynasty league is Gado. He's the only one with the talent and toughness to carry the load in GB.

BMoney 0 Posted July 18, 2006 went to 8 training camp sessions in GB... ahman was there..always on the side..running his own lil soft drills.. i will go for shaun..and 2 RBs early..as far as a sleeper?..i think there are others in the league before you look at GB... ahman had his best years when gb had a great o-line..3 of the big boys (wahle, flanagan, rivera) have since left.. ahman wont be the same speed and with a depleted line..thats doom.. if u consider najeh..you are in a 20 team league.. gado is 1 of the nicest guys in the league..i root for this guy to keep on..but im not sure how much playing time the coaching staff gives him.. opening week vs the bears..you wont be starting a packer rb anyway.. i guess late rounds these guys will seem worth the risk..someone has to run tds in for gb, right?..i just think that the lack of true rb attack may mean more Bubba attempts if they get close..they have ran a lot of te plays in camp.. keith jennings is a nice sleeper WR though...
