DHAggie10 0 Posted July 17, 2006 What numbers do you expect him to put up and where do you see him being drafted?
nobody 2,658 Posted July 17, 2006 Second Rounder Let's say he gets 150 carries at 3.8 per. That's about what? a little less then 575 yards or something on the ground. We'll also give him about 55 catches with 10 yards per, so that's another 550 yards I guess. The TDs can be anywhere from 6-9, I suppose.
nobody 2,658 Posted July 17, 2006 Who do the NFC East get, too. Hopefully it's some soft defenses since the Eagles are going to be getting Redskins, Giants, and Cowboys twice. Not good times. Bad times.
DHAggie10 0 Posted July 17, 2006 scoring 1 pt 10 yds and 6 for TDS. No extra points for REc
nobody 2,658 Posted July 17, 2006 Wow I just looked at the Eagles schedule for the fantasy playoffs and I just threw up in my mouth. @Washington - Week 14 @Giants - Week 15 @Dallas - Week 16 None for me thanks
GhostofMeanMachine99 1 Posted July 17, 2006 I can see Westbrook having a very solid season. Over 800 yards rushing (4+ ypc), and 700 yards receiving (75 receptions). I look for 9-11 TDs as well, and a solid #2 back to have on your roster.
Young_Grasshopper 0 Posted July 17, 2006 I'd say 900 yards rushing on a little over 200 attempts and 6 rushing TDs. Passing I'd go with 65 receptions for 700 yeards and 5 receiving TDs. This assumes he stays healthy for most of the season... not a given. I do think Philly will be calling more running plays, and looking for Westbrook to produce given that he got a new contract last season.

famousb 11 Posted July 17, 2006 I like those numbers. I probably have him a little less on the receiving end, but I would be surprised if you are right on the money. BWesty has had 73 and 61 rec's in 13 games and 12 games, respectively, over the last 2 seasons... Word out of Philly is that they are looking to have him more involved in the O this season and may implement him in at the WR spot w/ Moats in the backfield in some sets. So i see no reason for his catches to actually go below 70 if he plays even 13 games... I'm not certain how this coaching strategy fits in w/ Big Red also saying that they want to run the ball more... kind of contradictions if you ask me... BigE47 0 Posted July 17, 2006 Wow I just looked at the Eagles schedule for the fantasy playoffs and I just threw up in my mouth.@Washington - Week 14 @Giants - Week 15 @Dallas - Week 16 None for me thanks Yea, that is brutal. However he plays a pretty weak 1st half of the schedule, so i would still consider drafting him and then try to trade him when he puts up good numbers in the first 7-8 games. Byars41 0 Posted July 17, 2006 with Westbrook is always about health. make sure you grab Moats if you take Westbrook. don't worry about the Eagles brutal schedule. Westbrook is so involved in the passing game that it won't matter if they're playing a good defense. it could just mean he catches more passes and racks up more yards. Westbrook will lead all NFL backs in receptions and receiving yards if healthy. and he'll get a solid chunk of rushing yards. i think he's a perfect #2 RB who will get drafted in the 2nd round. like i said though, make sure you get Moats too because if Westbrook does get hurt (and so far he always has) than Moats could put up some nice #'s. GhostofMeanMachine99 1 Posted July 17, 2006 That sounds like a realistic number, but if he stays healthy for all 16 I would look for at least 1000 rushing. You would think but he's gonna be splitting time with Ryan Moats. It's also uncertain who is gonna be their third back. Buckhalter is prolly gonna be cut during camp due to continued health issues with his knees, and the verdict is still out on undersized backs Bruce Perry and Reno Mahe. There are many folks in Philly who believe the team needs to go out and get a bigger back who can grind it out. I think there are guys like Jonathan Wells and Stephen Davis who could fit the bill, but I will go out on a limb and predict that Duce Staley winds up back in Philly. Just a hunch. RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted July 17, 2006 I don't think it's a question of production for Westbrook, it's about health. When healthy, he is a virtual lock for 150 total yards with a about a TD every other game. That is more than solid #2 Rb material and is even more so in PPR leagues. In my opinion, he is part of a small third tier Big 3 Portis Jackson Tiki Rudi Jordan Edge Brown Caddy Westbrook DD JJ KJ McGahee Dunn Droughns Taylor Bell Parker Dillon Lewis

Just a hunch. i heard this theory before, and i think it's a very viable option - but i think it would require PIT actually trading ATL for Duckett, that would make Staley very expendable... Duce is making decent money while riding the pine. With Bettis gone, they'll have to play him. If he's not what they need, they cannot keep him on the active roster and sign another FA running back. I think Duckett would thrive on the Steelers, and Duce would be more than welcome back here in Philly.
ExtremeFajita 0 Posted July 18, 2006 In PPR leagues I see Westbrook finishing between 8-12th in RB points. Non-PPR I would predict 10-15th. This of course assumes he plays 15-16 games, which is a gamble. In all my mocks on antsports, he has gone as early as 11th and as late as 21st overall (regardless of scoring system). On average, he goes between the 12th and 16th overall pick.
