mattxweltner 0 Posted July 25, 2006 fitz as the #1 reciever? wierd. the dude is definitely an athelete, but I just can't see him putting up better numbers than TO, Chad Johnson or Steve Smith... or even Torry Holt. seems like the cardinals will be running more this year, and boldin will be getting a significant number of receptions too. but what do i know? It's not in left field . . . Palmer may not start the season, TO is like a lit firecracker ready to explode (so he's no lock to play all 16) Steve Smith has meShawn as a running mate . . . However, that being said, Fitz got ALOT of balls thrown his way last year, because 1) They had NO running game 2) They were usually behind . . . I don't think he will see as many passes this year . . .
kutulu 1,676 Posted July 25, 2006 He fell to me at the 9 spot in a two player keeper league.
Boston 0 Posted July 25, 2006 Any WR that can have 103 receptions, 1409 yards and 10 TDs in his SECOND year of pro ball is a legit candidate to be ranked #1 regardless of his situation.

Particularly in his second season. Fitz has as good a shot at being the #1 WR as anyone.
kutulu 1,676 Posted July 25, 2006 Sleeper from PFW: TE Dave Thomas — With the Patriots utilizing a two-TE lineup more often than not and with a dearth of trusted pass receivers, Thomas has a chance to play a key role as a rookie. He’ll likely be filling the role formerly played by Christian Fauria, who departed via free agency this offseason. That means that Thomas will be a target on third-down passing situations and in the red zone. As a result, he could catch 30-35 passes and 3-5 touchdowns this season. Plus he makes a decent burger. TD Ryan2 316 Posted July 25, 2006 Sleeper from PFW:Dave Thomas this Pats homer says NO. Thomas will be a nice role player for NE this year, but counting on him for any kind of fantasy production is really reaching. While I liked some of what ProFootball had to say in their fantasy column(s), this one made me think that they were just pulling obscure names out of a hat to sound smart/informed about sleepers.
