As Booger would say "We got Bush!"

Recommended Posts

I have heard all about why Bush will not be that good. Things from Deuce to surrounding team etc.. Here is why he will be a P.I.M.P.

Ok, here are some things to think about. Think of all the great first year RB's in the past 10-15 years. Let's examine if they had "Good" or even "Great" teams around them.

L.T.-He was a beast as a rookie with NOTHING around him what so ever. Defense sucked too....

Caddie- Was good & would have been great if not for an injury. Simms is no better than Brees & I would take Horn & Stallworth over Galloway & Clayton. Let's not forget he came from a college where he shared carries.

Faulk- Came in with a decent team. I think Reggie could duplicate his RC numbers.

Barry Sanders- Awful team around him. Played from behind all the time & in a system that was pass first. (Run & shoot)

Jamal Lewis-$hit offense, nice defense.

Corey Dillon-Terrible team!!

Dom Davis- Need I even go into the details??

The Denver RB's who had a great system, but not much in between Elway & Plummer.

Julius Jones- Decent team around him, but not great. Can you say Vinny Testerverde

Rudi Johnson-Crap team

McGahee-Crap team (Second year RC but didn't take a snap his RC season)

Warrick Dunn- Bad offense, good D. Similar player to Bush. Smaller & not as fast.

The thing is, all these guys rushed for 1000 plus yards & combined for 6 or more TD's. Only Faulk, LT & Barry are on the same talent level.

Please feel free to add to the list...

I could go on & on... Last thing I am worried about is the system or the players around him.

As for Deuce... He will get 10 carries a game no doubt ala Bettis, the other RB's in Indi last year etc.. But Reggie will get 15-18 plus 4-6 catches. With that he will be in for 1000+ rushing 600+ receiving & 10 TD's. Not to mention if you get long TD bonuses , he will help you there. Mark my words, he will average 4.5 or more yards a carrie.

The other thing is, the Saints did not give this guy 60 mill to be a part time player. He is the face of the organization with out taking a snap. He is also playing with a QB who LOVES to check down to his RB. (LT had 100 catches a few years back)

Last & not least. I for one am a firm believer in trusting what players say rather than coaches. When I hear players like Joe Horn saying how good he is, Michael Bennett saying "I just hope I get his autograph", Stallworth pissing himself with excitement, I listen. So should you...

I am taking him in the mid 2nd round over guys like T.O., S.Smith, Moss, CJ, Holt, Fitz, Gates, McGahee, Westbrook, J.J., KJ, Bell etc... For those of you who dont, you will be very sorry come the highlights of week one... Reggie = The New Marshall

I actually think he might be undervalued, as impossible as that may seem with all the hype surrounding him. McAllister is there, but some people seem to overlook the fact he's recovering from a torn knee ligament suffered partway into last season. As we've seen, it takes RBs two years to recover, and with Bush there, N.O. has absolutely no reason to rush him. Bush is both their present and future. The coaching staff will find ways to consistently get him the ball every week.

While I'm not sure he's gonna be a 1,000 yard rusher, I am positive he will put up solid yardage in some fashion. If he's slipping to round 3 in re-draft leagues, I don't see any problem taking a chance on him as your RB2, depending on who's available, giving your team both a 1st round RB and an elite WR in the 2nd round. He's a great RB3.

Reggie Bush is Michael Vick 2. He is very talented and will help his team win some games. But the media created way way too many expectations for this guy. He really has no chance whatsoever to live up to it.

He will do some nice things in the NFL but he isn't making Fresno State's linebackers miss any more either.

Wrong Reggie Bush is a much better passer then Vick.

He might complete a 60-yard touchdown pass to himself!

How you compare a project QB to one of the best RB talents in the past 20 years is beyond me. The RB position is the only position in the NFL that has very little to no learning curve. If Atlanta was smart, they would move Vick to WR & let Schaub play QB. IMHO...

I only hope Reggie scores as many TDs as Vick! Please let him be like Vick in that respect.

Blah blah blah. It is all speculation until the guy steps on the field. This isnt the Pac10 anymore, this is the NFL.

I may be a little biased since I'm from So. Cal. but I really like Bush as well...yea we don't know anything yet...but for FF purposes I would take a gamble on him but not in the second round like the OP...I might take him in the third or fourth depending on who's left on the board...since I'm in a PPR league I'd rather gamble on Bush then say a Chester Taylor...

Amen brotha. I am on the wagon. Let the haters hate while we bask in he glory :(

To me the hype and the skills remind me of Lebron. Everyone just knew he was the man. People wanted to doubt the hype... And he went on to avg 20 points his rookie year; in his 3rd he now scores 30. I see the same from Bush. He will be at 2/3rd's of his total package in his rookie campaign. And that 2/3rd's will be good for about 1500 yards, 40-50 receptions, and 6-infinity TD's.

I really can't see Bush puttin up LESS than top 15 RB numbers in a ppr. His reward, meantime is through the roof.

Al ye have faith in St Reggie

All hail President Bush

Anyone remember Vince Young talking about Bush on the Heisman show? He said something like, "Reggie making plays, L1 and R1'ing all over the place.."

He is "the one."

These cats just dont know.... It just amazes me that we here the same crap every year.... "This isn't college, this is the NFL." What game have you boys been watching? Super stud RB in college translates very easy to super stud RB in the NFL. Of course you do have some exceptions, but I don't think this is the case with "Baby Matrix" Reggie = R.O.Y. Stop hating & start praying you get a chance to draft the next difference maker to hit the NFL!!! :wall:

Bush in 2nd round - to early, not good value.

Bush in 3rd round - just about right, depends if it is late or early in the round.

Bush in 4th round or later - you gotta steal.
