mgs316 14 Posted August 1, 2006 Our league has been together for around 10 years now, 14 teams, very competitive, most of them our my best friends. We may be revamping and updating rules this year, including 2 player keeper. My question is, does it make the FF experience that much better, or with only two keepers is it even worth it? mgs316 14 Posted August 1, 2006 That is a good point. Even though Edge and CJ aren't "the best" players in FF, I would love to have those two pimps on my squad from last season.
Jeremy 0 Posted August 1, 2006 I imagine it's great fun if you're the guy who manages to get both Alexander and Tomlinson on your team for years to come. For the rest of the league, probably not as much.
mozzy84 0 Posted August 1, 2006 the draft is less fun imo, and if you don't have any good keepers that can suck for a couple years. I play in one and its my least favorite (allthough I have portis and s. jackson this year )over my redraft and dynasty league.
gemynd 0 Posted August 1, 2006 I like having a few keepers in our league. It allows people to reap the benefits of drafting well the previous year. Even if keeping 2 players per roster, there is plenty of talent available and the draft is no less enjoyable.
maddog3819 0 Posted August 1, 2006 Keepers definately makes ff more fun. I personally do not like the keeper rules where you can keep anyone. In our league keepers are a reward for drafting well in the previous years. You can keep up to 3 players. The draft position that you can keep them depends on where you drafted them the year before. Let's say you got Larry Johnson last year in the 6th round...then he would be your 4th rounder this season...your 2nd rounder next season...and the year after that you couldn't keep him. Essentially anyone drafted in rounds 1 or 2 are not availble to be kept. Also if a player was not drafted and was acquired through free agency...then that player can not be kept. Keepers are great. Just find a system that everyone likes

That way the integrity of the draft remains and yet owners have a shot to keep late round picks who might turn into the next LJ.
