TIKI-BARBERS-BARBER 0 Posted August 8, 2006 For the record, I called Mike Bell my ultimate sleeper Jun 20 2006, 11:00 AM. Link Can I get some credit? Sure you deserve some credit too. Thing is he is not the starter yet so lets not get our hopes up. But I think this kid has heart and gives his all so he's got a good chance.

Franknbeans 46 Posted August 8, 2006 Even Adam Schefter on NFL Network said that Bell now has the inside track on the starting gig in Denver.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted August 8, 2006 Gotta love Shanny. Didn't he make Griffin the starter last year? He exhibits not only the ability to destroy the confidence of his veteran RBs, but the desire to do it also. When is Denver going to show this clown the door? He would be hired by someone else before he caught a flight out of Denver.
Franknbeans 46 Posted August 8, 2006 THE NEWS Mike Bell's shocking ascension to the top of the Broncos depth chart was a result of his strong running in training camp, but to hold onto the starting job he'll have to prove he can handle all the other responsibilities. "Now you get a chance to see if he can block and do the other things that you ask running backs to do: blitz pickups and all the different adjustments, snap counts, that you have to do once the season occurs," head coach Mike Shanahan told the team's official website. Our View It's clear that Bell has the inside track on the starting gig at this point, but it's also clear that Shanahan won't hesitate to promote Tatum Bell or Ron Dayne if and when Mike leaves quarterback Jake Plummer vulnerable to a blitzing safety. The test begins in earnest on Friday night in Detroit, where Mike Bell will start for the Broncos.
mitch moore 0 Posted August 8, 2006 I'm drafting right now(email draft 8hr limit), just picked at 7.4, hopefully someone wil be stoopid enuf to take a flier on him and waste a pick before it gets back to me. Sure enuf, guy took Bell at 7.7, what are the chances he caught lightning in a bottle? My take, not likely.
