scb175 0 Posted August 19, 2006 even in a ppr league, guys like droughns and FWP get drafted in the second.... not sure about that. And what about DD? That guy has some serious issues. You got some guys in your league taking some huge risks. Did they look at the settings before the draft? Man, you had access to boldin and harrison too. I hope my draft goes like this
uby 0 Posted August 19, 2006 looks like Kevin Jones AND Jamal Lewis slip to 4th round ... if i'm reading that correctly?
DrewzerNC 0 Posted August 19, 2006 Yeah, things went well for me. The biggest thing was the Harrison, Bouldin,Holt deal. I thought about going harrison AND Holt; nothing against Bouldin, I like him a lot), but am REALLY high RBush. I think owners who PREPARED this year were aware of how important taking a WR in the 2nd was.
scb175 0 Posted August 19, 2006 curious who SeattleSteelers has for his RB's
aggiewildlife 0 Posted August 19, 2006 That's great if you like your RB's going to the sidelines while somebody else gets the goalline scores. In fact, outide of Shaun Alexander, all of your RB's have big problems. Reggie will watch Deuce get all the TD's, Dillon will be splitting carries with Maroney, Green will miss half the season due to injury, and Gado will watch Davenport fill in for the injured Green. Hope I'm wrong though. Glad you're excited for your team, that's why we play, right? curious who SeattleSteelers has for his RB's you're right. Seattle Steelers drafted a QB, WR, and a TE before a single RB. Not smart, if you ask me.

DrewzerNC 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Thanks skinny bastard! I think you and I were on the same wavelength after reading your "If you have the 2nd pick" post. Holt slid and and Moroney was taken BEFORE Dillon! I'd like to think I had a good draft VALUE-wise top to bottom. If Bush does half of what he's capable of then the league just donated to my daughter's college fund. Thanks guys.

COngrats, you could have had some productive players...
bigpoly60 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I think Bush in the 3rd is horrible. I understand taking chances, but that was plain dumb. If it were a keeper league, MAYBE. Even then, I would have taken Boldin. I just don't believe in taking a non-starting RB or anyone else for that matter, over a starter. You had a chance at some really great, proven players. I think it was a wasted pick. DrewzerNC 0 Posted August 20, 2006 dANKnUGGS, you must have just finished a bowl to make a comment like that. I could have gone with another receiver (ok option; on another day i might have done it also) or unproven back like Ronnie Brown whose (here it goes) upside is nowhere near what Bush's is.Also, I'm not really proclaiming "I got Bush" like it might sound. I'm showing what can happen if you do take a chance on him. By looking to see what players fell to me after, it mght help people make up their minds on how they want to handle it. not

I'd take Randy in a heartbeat ove Bush... Randy/Holt, and SA is a hell of a core... vs the two plus a risky flier that would have to put up better than expected #'s to justify... You are paying a premium for upside and forcing a sexy pick over the prudent one Stick that in your pipe and smoke it
rebooters 1 Posted August 20, 2006 i am eating tylenol like crazy this past week. i have my draft next saturday for my keeper league. its the first year of the league so all players are in the draft. we keep 2. i have 3rd pick and i would love to have bush kept along with one of the big 3. i just cant decide if i should take bush with my 3rd pick or possibly my 2nd if i really want to make sure i get him. yea, i could look really great going into next season and i have the upside of him doing good this season. then i look at what my team could look like if i take a proven starter with my 2nd and 3rd picks and how much better i could be this season. the goal is to win this season, worry bout next year when the time comes. i just am trying to figure out what to do.
