Falcons | Griffith to see some action at RB

Wed, 23 Aug 2006 15:06:58 -0700

Charles Odum, of the Associated Press, reports Atlanta Falcons FB Justin Griffith will be the primary starter in one-back sets, according to head coach Jim Mora. "That will be his role," Mora said. "That will take a little bit off Warrick (RB Dunn) and will take a little bit off Jerious (RB Norwood)."

I'm assuming he means preseason action, so Dunn and Norwood have fresh legs going into the regular season.

I don't believe this is referring only to preseason. I just picked up Griffith in a dynasty league because I fully expect him to assume the TJ Duckett role. I watched this guy in college and he is an excellent player capable of being productive running and catching the ball. I feel like Griffith's talent had as much to do with TJ being traded as did Duckett's recent drop-off in ypg.

Griffith has ZERO TDs in the NFL....how does this translate into a TD specialist?

One back sets would mean no fullback which Atlanta does not run a lot of, Correct?? Norwood was not spoken well of by his coaches after the last game. I am a Dunn and Duckett owner and I just picked Griffith up off the WW. 22 man roster, why not?

please tell me you're are NOT an advocate for DFoster this year if you're using the 0 TD stat to say Griffith couldn't become a good s/y or g/l option...

Wow, I'm goingto bump Dunn up to the #10 running back. Ahead of Westbrook in PPR
