murf74 461 Posted August 23, 2006 This confuses me. Falcons | Griffith to see some action at RB Wed, 23 Aug 2006 15:06:58 -0700 Charles Odum, of the Associated Press, reports Atlanta Falcons FB Justin Griffith will be the primary starter in one-back sets, according to head coach Jim Mora. "That will be his role," Mora said. "That will take a little bit off Warrick (RB Dunn) and will take a little bit off Jerious (RB Norwood)."
mgs316 14 Posted August 23, 2006 I'm assuming he means preseason action, so Dunn and Norwood have fresh legs going into the regular season.
Dogma 0 Posted August 24, 2006 I don't believe this is referring only to preseason. I just picked up Griffith in a dynasty league because I fully expect him to assume the TJ Duckett role. I watched this guy in college and he is an excellent player capable of being productive running and catching the ball. I feel like Griffith's talent had as much to do with TJ being traded as did Duckett's recent drop-off in ypg.

Norwood was not spoken well of by his coaches after the last game. I am a Dunn and Duckett owner and I just picked Griffith up off the WW. 22 man roster, why not? Gepetto 998 Posted August 24, 2006 Dunn to get goalline carries. Dunn will be the man. Get your facts straight. That Griffith guys a bum. Hopefully he can at least block for Vick, woop! Falcons RB Dunn to get goal-line opportunities Written by: Associated Press ¦ 8/23/2006 Source: Coach Jim Mora said Wednesday that RB Warrick Dunn would assume many of the goal-line opportunities given to T.J. Duckett the last three years.
