Q and A session

ok, i'll pick your brain...I draft #1 overall in my 10 team $$$ league and will take LJ first. After that I'm contemplating taking WR's at the 2/3 turn unless someone drops rediculously low (manning or rb who should be gone by then). How confident would you be taking Owens and Chambers @ the turn assuming Steve Smith and Torry Holt and CJ are already taken? I like both those WR's this year but don't know if I want to take so much risk that early in the draft :bandana:

I'm pretty confident in that strategy. I picked #1 in one of my local 12 team redrafts and took Boldin and Chambers at the 2/3 swing. I'm not the biggest TO fan, but if he's on the field he produces. I'd say go for it, because you should be able to get another rb when it comes to the 4/5 turn.

Here's my post from one I just opened. Maybe you can help:

Who should I draft in the first 3 rounds? My biggest question is whether I should go RB-RB-WR or RB-WR-RB. If I take Parker in the 2nd, I will have to wait till near the end of the 4th for a WR. If I take Boldin in the 2nd, then my #2 RB will be drafted in the 4th round. Which would mean I have a pretty weak #2 RB of Gore, Fred Taylor, or Thomas Jones.

I forgot to note that my 1st and 3rd rounds will be Jackson and Wayne.

I'd go RB WR RB. It looks like you pick in the late 2nd i'm guessing, so WR just makes more sense at that spot IMO. You'll get yourself a solid RB in the 4th and/or 5th. Good luck :)

No way Peyton falls that far but Palmer might. I'll tell you someone to look for at that spot that could be interesting, a young man by the name of Randy Moss. What do you thing of that?

should I be worried with these RBs?

Rudi J (Cin), Droughns (Cle), Taylor (Jax), Rhodes (Ind), Betts (Was), Robinson (SF)

we start 2 (3 if we put one in the flex spot)

btw- 12 team redraft

I wouldnt be worried unless its PPR, because these guys dont catch many passes. I think youre alright because Taylor is usually good when healthy and Droughns is a solid back but doesnt get much recognition because he just isnt that flashy. Rhodes is a wildcard, but if he ends up getting the touches in Indy that will be a huge bonus for ya.

Actually I think that Williamson has a chance at breaking out this year if the Vikes don't play overly conservative. But with that said, Wilford is probably going to start for Jax and even if he doesnt they plan on using 3 wideout sets so he will be in most of the time and I think his chances of having a good season are better than any of those other guys, including Williamson.

WILFORD WAS GONE , MY MISTAKE . SO YOU THINK STAY WITH WILLIAMSON OVER CURTIS ? BRUCE IS ALREADY HURTING AND HOLT WITH BRUISED STERNUM . JUST MAKING SURE , WAIVER WIRE BEING WORKED HARD WITH CUTS AND TRADES BY A COUPLE GUYS . THEY 'RE DRAFT DID NOT GO SO WELL .

THANKS AGAIN

A little worried with my QBs......Kurt Warner and Brett Favre. Should I make a move for another QB ?? Or do you think Kurt Warner will hold down his job ???

BTW its 12 teamer, but I am loaded at RB and pretty good at WR.

I think youre fine at QB. Warner will throw a couple TDs on most week's unless he gets hurt, in which case you can plug in Favre who will have another solid, injury free season.

I'm not the biggest fan of Barber, but with PPR i think he's the best pick there. 4th pick kinda sucks now with Portis hurt.

Curtis over Parker(only slightly) and I like the Jones/Wilford end of that trade a little more. Wilford has a lot of potential and I think he could end up being the primary WR with Jones being more of a deep thread and reggie a red zone target. bell and jones are close in value, but at least you know Jones is the starter.

Smitty!

We have a flex roster, standard scoring, non-PPR - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex RB/WR/TE, LJ was my keeper and I had an extra 2nd round pick (1st pick) due to a trade last year

My roster

Warner, Kurt QB ARI

Bledsoe, Drew QB DAL

Johnson, Larry RB KC CIN

Jordan, LaMont RB OAK

Bush, Reggie RB NO

Droughns, Reuben RB CLE

Jones, Thomas RB CHI

Barber, Marion RB DAL

Harrison, Marvin WR IND

Driver, Donald WR GB

Smith, Rod WR DEN

Burleson, Nate WR SEA

Bruce, Isaac WR STL

Curtis, Kevin WR STL

Gabriel, Doug WR NE

Jennings, Greg WR GB

Gates, Antonio TE SD @OAK

Just not high on my WRs - thought about trading Jordan/Driver for Owens/K. Jones

Then my starting team would be Owens/Harrison at WR - then a combo of LJ/Droughns/T. Jones/K. Jones ...maybe even Bush.

I don't like your WR depth that much, but your starting 2 wrs are great, IMO. Driver is going to have a big year and you know what Harrison will give you. I'm not into KJ at all, so that trade doesnt appeal to me very much.. I'd try and trade one of your backup WRs and a guy like T Jones or MB3 for a better 3rd wr.

I wouldnt do it, I think with Bledsoe you have a top 6 QB and Warner is a great guy to play especially on a favorable matchup. Sure Manning is the best, but you only have 2 sure things at RB(and even Caddy has some questions marks) I wouldnt start Henry though unless you know something about him that I havent heard yet...

Would you go with

TO vs Jax.?

or

Roy Williams vs Seattle?

Owens, unless for some reason Parcells decides to send him home.

Just read this

Terrell Owens is fully expected to play at Jacksonville in Week 1.

He was also expected to start the preseason finale. "I feel great," T.O. said. "I'm ready to go." It will be interesting to see whether the Cowboys start Owens. Even if not, he should still play enough snaps to be a solid fantasy start.

I waited late to get a TE this year. Between these guys who should I pickup?

Pope

Klopfenstein

Scheffler

Putzier

Conwell

Scheffler is making a lot of noise, but I'm not sure he'l be a big part of the team this year. Conwell is primarily a blocker and I don't think Putz is starting anymore. Pope is a redzone threat, but not much more at this point in his career. So with all that said, I'd say Klop since he was named the starter and should catch a decent number of balls in Linehans offense(scheffler is a close second though).
