yomamahates 0 Posted September 5, 2006 I picked up Portis two days before his injury, and need to know who to start. Pay no attention to my sig. I'm in another league and heres my other team QB(1): Trent Green, Brett Favre RB(2): Jackson, Portis, Foster, Ahman, Gore WR(3): Hines, Housh, Jurevicious TE(1): Gonzalez K(1): Kaeding (or Nedney from SF?) DEF: KGB, Bly, Law, Boss Bailey, O'Neal, Wesley. Scoring: All TD's = (+6pts) Pass 50yds = (+1pt) Rush 20yds = (+1pt) Rec 20yds = (+1pt) Lost Fumble, Interception thrown = (-2pts) FG 0-39yds = (+3pts) FG 40-49yds = (+4pts) FG 50+ = (+5pts) Int, Fumble Recovery, Block Kick, Safety = (+2pts) Sack = (+1pt) I don't want to put Portis in, because they're not going to use Portis in the Redzone to score the TD's like they used to. Also, every 20yds gives 1 pt and Portis won't play more than two quarters if he plays at all. Who should replace Portis?? I'm leaning towards Foster. ANy thoughts?? AsimoV 0 Posted September 5, 2006 Foster is the safer play but don't discount Gore against Zona. It's not like Alex Smith can complete a pass or anything.
mtammen 0 Posted September 5, 2006 I think Foster is the play here. Also, I would count Portis out yet. Wait until the weekend to see where he stands.

At first I was gonna say Gore vs Arizonas D but then i looked at Foster vs Atl last year: 24 131 1 and a recieving TD 18 165 1 http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228336

ATL added a lot in the front 7 in the offseason. However, the CAR running game is strong and Foster should have 1 TD and 100 all purpose yards. I just wouldn't count on a HUGE game from Foster, though it could happen.
