CantTouchThis 23 Posted September 6, 2006 Not on the Saints, and not while splitting time. I think 165 carries, 800 yards; 47 rec, 350 yards. Maybe 6 TDs. Duece will be the GL back and will steal his TDs, and most of his carries(i got Duece for 220 carries, 1000 yards; 29 rec, 200 yards- 10 TDs). In 3 years, if Duece is gone/riding the pine, and they upgrade their o-line and have a good passing game, he could put up those numbers. I think he has the potential to put up Marshall Faulk type numbers, but, i see him being more like Gale Sayers.
jerryskids 6,797 Posted September 6, 2006 Ron Dayne won the Heisman trophy too. He's obviously parlayed that into a studesque NFL career. That is completely irrelevant to my comment. Link to where I said that every Heismann winner was a sure NFL star? Or to where I said that a few years ago the draft was called the "Ron Dayne sweepstakes"? If you are going to fish here, at least try to be logical. Barry Sanders was too small. So was Emmitt. And neither was as gifted as Reggie.

I will certainly agree on Emmitt not having the talents that Bush seems to, but no way on Barry. He was the best back ever to play. I don't agree on that at all. Ilov80s 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I think he has the potential to put up Marshall Faulk type numbers, but, i see him being more like Gale Sayers. As a rookie, Sayers put up 867 yards rushing/14 TDs, 507 receiving/6 TDs...not to mention a TD pass, KO return for a TD and punt return for a TD. Ofcourse, all in only 14 games.
