Miami got robbed!

Recommended Posts

When I saw the play as it happened, I certainly didn't notice that his foot had slid out of bounds. Although there was a slight degree of doubt in my mind that he had gotten in, I probably would have called it as a TD if I'd had to make the call on the field (before seeing the replay, that is). So I won't fault the refs on that call.

On the other hand, if I had been Saban with any degree of doubt, I would have thrown my red flag almost immediately. If there were any question about a TD scored against my team, I would gladly sacrifice a time out to make sure the call was correct.

The fault here was Saban's for taking so long to throw the flag and for not doing more to make sure the refs saw it. Once the next play has been run, there's no going back. If Madden and Michaels knew that -- and they did, immediately -- Saban should have known that, too.

I agree. It seemed like forever for Saban to throw that flag - and when he did, it was if he threw it short and behind the official on purpose. Perhaps to give us something to argue about.

I totally agree that his foot was out (everyone does), but the onus is on the coach to get the hell out there, make some noise, and throw the flag where one of the refs could see it.

That guy was totally out at the one. Saban threw the red flag WTF?

You don't really believe MIA got robbed do you?

Saban should be sure to lift his skirt with his left hand whilst throwing the red flag with his right next time.

Saban was hesitant and did not get the attention of the officials.

He PAID!!

I was pissed because FWP didn't get a goal line carry there when he should have because the guy was out at the 3 yard line.

My sentiments exactly!

Miami got beat by a better TEAM. Calls go in both directions, good and bad always. Take Wes Welker out of that game and Miami would have never come close! I needed Chambers to come thru......damn him.

One game might be a coincidence. Might. What we have here is a full blown conspiracy. Again.

Saban threw the flag back, and to the left... back, and to the left... back, and to the left...

Yea don't blame Saban he is just a patsy Miami should have had a second flag thrower ready in the Grassy Knoll of Heinz Field.

Hardly. Calls are missed all the time, and when the play is 5-10 yards ahead of the official and he's likely concentrating more on the location of the ball as the player is going down it is even more forgivable.

The refs not seeing the flag was Saban's fault. He was playing the victim before he was a victim by throwing it out there quietly right before the kick and then not even making an effort to get the attention of the refs. He just stood there with a stupid look on his face.

Don't watch then or do something about it (unlikely since you're the whining type). you sound like a pathetic woman who only complains and points out problems but provides no solutions.

Ignorance is bliss. You keep thinking the refs in the NFL are qualified. Sleep tight.

I also am pretty sure that the refs are boneheads, not as bad as the baseball clowns and yet not as good as the NBA goobers.
