Addai or Owens?

Owens stock is down, Addai's stock is up. I have a lot of 'decent' WRs, but nothing really great.

 

I am in a keeper league that can start 2 RBs.

 

My team

 

QB: Rex Grossman

WR: Chris Chambers

WR: Troy Williamson

RB: Ladanian Tomlinson

TE: L.J. Smith

W/R: Brian Westbrook

Bn: Marques Colston

Bn: Joe Horn

Bn: Javon Walker

Bn: Michael Vick

Bn: Joseph Addai

The problem is you'd be left w/o a backup RB, and Westy is injury prone. I assume you'd be dropping one of your spare WR to pick up a RB? Who is available?

 

I think Owens is worth it if you can grab a decent RB, either through the WW or by trading another of your WRs.

I agree with the guy above. It's too risky to not have any other RB option on your bench. If one of your starters goes down, you're screwed.

 

If you can get Owens and then find another backup RB, then I'd make the deal. Otherwise, it's too risky.

With the 1 RB 1 WR/RB positions, I don't really *have* to start 2 RBs. Though I will say that from a scoring perspective it is much better to start 2 RBs in this league.

Can't disagree with what's been said. Now with T.O. out for a few weeks, who knows how he'll respond when he comes back. You don't want to be left without a backup RB.

1 point - since I only HAVE to start 1 RB, Westbrook is himself the backup to Ladanian.

I'd probably do it. You will definitely need to make a move for another RB though. If nothing else, you can trade T.O. for a better RB than Addai. The guy is selling him to low.
