Am I wrong for passing up R.Moss and Jordan for Stallworth?

Recommended Posts

I have been offered L.Jordan and R.Moss for Stallworth. I am strongly leaning towards declining. Moss and Jordan have a combined 2 week total of 8 points! Stallworth has almost 30 points on his own. I think he will continue to be the #1 target for McNabb. I also don't see Oakland getting much better any time soon even though they played a tough D. If I take the trade I would also have to drop a player. I am pretty happy with my team and I have gone 2-0. I could use another solid starting RB, but I'm not sure that Jordan is anymore. I lost D.Davis because we drafted before his injury. I had picked up Lundy, but dropped him. He has made me several previous offers for Stallworth and has also expressed an interest in trading Bulger and Elam, but I don't think either of those really help me. He is in trouble right now at 0-2. The 1 player I would consider trading for is C.Taylor, but he isn't interested in dealing him. Am I wrong in passing on this trade?

It's a 12 team redraft, standard scoring, 1/2PPR, all TD's 6.

My roster:

QB - McNabb, McNair

RB - Alexander, Addai, Jacobs, Benson, Norwood

WR - Boldin, Stallworth, Evans, M.Jones, Colston

K - Kasay

DST - Eagles, Falcons

His roster:

QB - Vick, Bulger

RB - L.Jordan, C.Taylor, M.Turner, P.Holmes

WR - R.Moss, Masson, Kennison, Branch, Lelie

k - Vinatieri, Elam

DST - Steelers, Patriots

No, I agree with you at this point. Try and get Taylor, but if he isn't willing to deal him, I'd pass.

The numbers just aren't there yet to justify. Stallworth is obviously becoming McNabb's 1st target, despite what he says about R Brown.

I wouldn't make this trade either. With that joke of an OLine in Oakland, I don't see any way Lamont Jordan could start over your other RBs.

If you can't start him, then there's no reason to trade for him.

Moss should have a couple good games during the season, but there's no way to predict when. So, he's not a reliable starter either.

I'd stick with Stallworth here.

Thanks for mine.

I've never liked Jordan, but I've always been pretty high on Moss. He's just a guy who can put up numbers no matter what the situation.....well, at least I thought!!

Two weeks ago this would have been a horrible trade.....Jordan and Moss were waaaaay better.

Now, with Stallworth going to Philly and Jordan/Moss going to Nowhereville.....can't believe it, but you can't do this trade.....Stallworth has nowhere to go but up, and I don't see daylight for Moss/Jordan!!

I'm half inclined to think that Oakland can't go anywhere but up, but I've been proven wrong before. It seems like a pretty risky trade for you to make at this point. If you think Stallworth is expendable though it could pay off big for you.

No, I don't think you're wrong for pasing up on the trade. I watched the game yesterday and Stallworth is a beast for McNabb. Stallworh will definitely pay off for you this season. I wish I had him!

I wouldn't touch this trade for the following reasons:

1) Moss and Jordan both play on the same team. So you risk one stealing looks from the other. If Brooks/Walter/whoever looks Moss' way all day, Jordan loses out and vice versa.

2) That team is the Raiders, which so far haven't shown they can do anything. So you only compound the problem described in number 1. You can do stuff like that with the Colts or any other team that spreads the ball out and has a good offense, but not here.

3) Stallworth is McNabb's number 1 and Philly has shown it can move the ball offensively. He's also one of the fastest (if not the fastest) guy in the NFL.

4) Stallworth's stock is obviously on the rise, while Moss and Jordan are on the decline.

I wouldn't do it, getting two players on the same team wouldn't be worth it and Stallworth's value is really high right now, not worth two below average players so far. If they're stock rises as the season goes on then maybe think about reworking the trade for maybe Jordan and another reciever

Stay away from all Raiders. If you are trading Stallworth to him the only guy I would go after would be Taylor otherwise stand pat. Thanks for seeing mine

I still have hope for Moss mostly because he was my 1st receiver taken but I wouldn't do the trade. Stallworth is the legit #1 in Philly. Mcnabb has shown what the Eagles could do in years past prior to TO coming there and that is without a legit #1 receiver. Now he has that and I believe so far they're leading the league in ypg. The problem is that although I think Moss will have some nice games I think Jordan behind that O-line is going to be even more hard pressed to have any nice games unless they revamp that line and it can actually give the QB some time.

I thought about trading for Jordan now that his stock is down, perhaps trying to lowball the other owner. If I were you, I wouldn't do this trade. It just seems like too much of a risk for you. Besides, the Eagles play the Niners next week, and Stallworth's stock will probably go up after he and McNabb pick apart that secondary... remember last year's game where McNabb had 5 TD against them http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/recap/NFL_20050918_SF@PHI
