manola 0 Posted September 20, 2006 Dynasty League: I've got a lot of youth (Bush, Maroney, Norwood, Westbrook, Jacobs, Turner). My Starters aren't very strong this year though: Westbrook, Bush, Maroney, Marvin Harrison, Antonio Bryant. I've been offered Chester Taylor & Andre Johnson For Maroney and Roy Williams Should I make this trade? Thanks! I'll answer yours!
yostevo 0 Posted September 20, 2006 I personally love Maroney and would be very hesitant to pull that deal. Chester is safe and has plenty of mileage left on those tires but what you see right now is what you are going to get. Probably always going to be a #2 back. Maroney has top 3 back potential. johnyaya 0 Posted September 20, 2006 I would also hold on to what you got. Roy should have a few good games coming up and if Dillon is out Maroneys value only increases. I think C. Taylor is a workhorse and a really good back - he has a great OL and FB. If you could get someone other than A. Johnson (a more proven WR than Roy, I'd rate those both as almost equal) I might go for it.
FBH ** 0 Posted September 20, 2006 This is the beauty of Dynasty format. Your team is not built for this year, yours is built for next year or 2 years. I would not make this move. To be honest, you might have to endure a couple of losses this year, but with the talent that you have, you should have great talent in the NEAR future. You will be better off waiting until Maroney blows up (in a couple weeks), you should be able to get far better value for him. If I were you I would sit on all those RBs until next year and then trade away what you don't need to make your other positions stronger. I think that you are in a great position for the future, just suck it up for this year. Thanks for mine.
strangebrew 0 Posted September 20, 2006 i would not do this. while i see andre johnson being a great player for you, maroney is going to be HUGE for you. i actually would expect dillon to hang it up in a year or two. while bush will probably be splitting time with duece for awhile. maroney has the most potential out of your young backs, stay put. throttlers 0 Posted September 20, 2006 I'm gonna go agaisnt the majority here. Chester is going to get plenty of touches all year long. You have enough young talent for the next couple of years even without Maroney. I'm not as high on Maroney as some of these guys. I definitely don't think he will ever be a top 3 back. I think he might barely make top 10 if he gets to start. I think Chester will finish this year top 10 simply based on number of touches and a good O-line. Also, AJ is playing better than Roy, although I think Roy's number's will improve. If you aren't that high on Chester, you can always trade him after a big game and probably get something better than Maroney. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235237
PhinsFTW 0 Posted September 20, 2006 I wouldnt do it, not in a dynasty league, Maroney will be the starter there sooner than later i think, and Roy Williams is an immense talent on a crappy team but if he gets traded or the Lions get a good QB he can be huge. RedzoneMonster 107 Posted September 20, 2006 NO. Moroney is a future STUD and you will be trading Williams when his value is low and getting A. Johnson when his value is inlated. Drizink43 0 Posted September 20, 2006 personally Id pull the trigger, Dillon is durable and will share or dominate the TDs Chester taylor has looked great and Johnson gets point nothing spectacular but they gotta throw to somebody right. Check my dilema from 10:34 let me know what you think
