sped1103 0 Posted September 26, 2006 I'm thinking of offering Foster and Chambers to the SA owner. He's 1-2 and looking for help. Thoughts? My Team: Manning, Eli QB NYG Carr Bell, Tatum RB DEN Foster, DeShaun RB CAR Johnson, Rudi RB CIN Barber, Marion RB DAL Jerious Norwood Boldin, Anquan WR ARI Chambers, Chris WR MIA Evans, Lee WR BUF Marques Colston Wilkins, Jeff K STL Cowboys, DST DST DAL Vikings, DST DST MIN (Non ppr, 6 pts for all TDs, start 1QB, 2RBs, 2WRs, and a flex (RB/WR/TE)
Texansfan 0 Posted September 26, 2006 That would leave you VERY thin at WR. I'd probably hold off. Who knows how long SA will be out. Mine
sped1103 0 Posted September 26, 2006 That would leave you VERY thin at WR. I'd probably hold off. Who knows how long SA will be out. Mine Good point. I probably have to start all three (Boldin, Evans, and Colston) or two of them and MBIII at flex. Not the best choices for the next 4-6 weeks but as I said, I'm 3-0 and I forgot to mention everyone else in my division is 1-2 so I do have a nice cushion. I guess I'm really excited about potentially starting Rudi, SA, and Tatum all at once. Anyone else?
Bbronco 0 Posted September 27, 2006 It is a risk, but I do like the payoff in the end. Rudi and Foster are serviceable, but if Alexander comes back in 2 weeks, those who sold him low are gonna be crying...I would definately think about pulling the trigger on this one http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry2729930 see mine please
seantaylor 0 Posted September 27, 2006 i dont think you can afford to do this. you'd be left with no WRs as colston is not lock to continue on the great pace he's been on
vardaski 0 Posted September 27, 2006 Taking chances wins championships but can also lose them. I think this is one of those although it sounds like he'll be down about 4 weeks I'd take a chance and pull the trigger. You're right about having a stud backfield down the stretch and rudi and tatum might carry you to that point except on the byes. I think even though it leaves you thin at wr that you can maybe pick up someone like B. edwards etc... that is hot. Wr are easy to find that surface through out the year. I don't like foster's chances of making it the whole year anyways. Also depends on what kind of rb help might be out there this next week with tatum on bye? Is Dayne available? Miami hasn't looked that great against the run.

madd futher mucker 36 Posted September 27, 2006 I like it - Thinking outside the box! Consider waiting a week and then offering Evans and Foster tho!
Neckturd 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I agree, hold tight. I wouldn't jump at that because Chambers has sucked so far. Wait it out a little longer...thanks for mine
degochopper 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I say go for it. If I were the SA owner, I would not do that deal. It's worth giving up those two for a shot at SA for the 2nd half of the season.

SA's first game back will not happen on astroturff.....so don't expect him to play untill after week 6 at the earliest
Youngblood 0 Posted September 27, 2006 I'd make this deal actually. Chambers is not the top tier WR since Culpepper has been struggling and your RB depth would allow you to ride out the Alexander injury. He'll come back fine since it's only a tiny crack. Pull the trigger!!
sped1103 0 Posted September 27, 2006 Thanks for all the help, guys! I sent the offer late last night and the owner came back to me this morning asking for Tatum Bell instead of Foster. No way that's going to happen and he's not willing to budge. Way too much to give up especially now that Bell is the starting back. Thanks again...you guys are awesome! ColtFan 0 Posted September 28, 2006 I also have Chambers. I'm giving him and Culpepper another chance this week vs. Houston. If Brunell can look good againts them Culpepper should to. Hang on to Chambers this week.
Xtreme Colts Fan 1 Posted September 28, 2006 Well.....I would do it, I'm optimistic of SA. I am 1-2 and traded Marvin Harrison for SA and Ma-Mo....Yes you read that right, the guy gave me Shaun's backup too for insurance, But I need help in the Backfield. I can probably afford to go 1-4 and still get in, but I needed that strong Back to lift me up in the later weeks. I started 0-5 last season and was one TD from playoffs, then outscored everyone in the Playoffs. So I hope he pays off for me
tombass 0 Posted September 28, 2006 i would do it you would be getting a stud who may only miss two weeks, and then be real tough come playoff time.take a look at my trade i made a couple of hours ago http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=238631
ziggyschiefs 0 Posted September 28, 2006 i think SA is gonna come back healthy as long as they keep him out long enough. he should be a sutd the 2nd half of the year. it would be tight at WR but you have decent players. you could always pick up another WR here and there or trade an RB for one. i think it might be worth it as long as SA isn't gone too long and you can hold your own in the meantime. it's a little early to gloat about 3-0 (it is only 3-0 not 10-0) i hope that helps. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=238698
