RB/WR Help!

Recommended Posts

In a deep 14 team league and need a little help setting lineup for today. Scoring 1 pt/15 yds rush/rec, 6 pts TD, -3 pts Fumble.

RBs - McGahee, Dillon, Barlow, Haynes, Morency

WRs - Holt, Galloway (bye), Matt Jones, Mark Clayton, Doug Gabriel

Must start two RBs and obviously will start Willis so the question is do I risk starting Dillon, not knowing his true injury situation in NE, or do I take a chance on Barlow this week getting a little more familiar with the Jets system?

Must start three WRs and Holt is at the top of the list. Not sure which two of the remaining three. Jones was hurt last week and didn't do a thing but appears to be ready for week 4. Both Clayton and Gabriel are starting to get looks from their QBs. So need help here.

Thanks in advance, and leave a link and I will try to answer yours.

Thanks for answering mine.

I'd go with Dillon too, but keep an eye on the pre-game information

I too would go with Jones and Gabriel for WRs.

Cheers

Dillon is your best bet...check late to make sure he suits up. Barlow if he doesn't :(

Jones and Gabriel are worth starting. No to Clayton. :dunno:

I suggest you pick up some beer and wait for next week.

I'd do Jones and Gabriel at WR but I'd do Barlow vs the Colts. Indy has been awful versus the run so far. Only thing that would worry me about Barlow is if Indy gets up to a big lead early (thus no more jets running)

Dillon is your best bet at RB. Washington may start getting more carries.

Holt, Gabriel, and Jones at WR. Clayton has yet to impress me.

Aren't there any other WR's on the WW? Henry from Cinci, Jenkins, Cotchery, someone else. I would stick with Gabriel but look for a better free agent WR to start over Jones.

I like Morency better. I know just what you wanted to hear. He was about ready to take over for Dillon BEFORE Dillon got hurt. That might be a way to push Dillon out of the way. Plus I look for NE to be down early and often and Morency is the better rb in the passing game.

Thanks for the recommendation. None of the players you named are on our waiver wire. In a 14 team league where we start 3 WRs the waiver wire is pretty thin. In fact you have to manage your roster on a daily basis. Sometimes I wish our starting roster was a little smaller and we could reduce the size of the squad so that we had a little more manuverability.

Now, you have Vernand Morency, right? Not Maroney, as was stated in one of these replies. Regardless, I'd roll with Corey Dillon at RB. Playing former team, cincy's run def. gave up big yards last week, pats defense needs to be kept off the field (yeah, i'm a pats fan too. plenty of info on them.) Gabriel has been kind of an enigma. he's learning the offense and is talented, and while I think he'll eventually be a solid start, I'm not sure this is the week. I'd probably go with Matt Jones and Mark Clayton (who, btw, looked pretty good last week. sd's pass def rush is good, but i think their secondary is banged up a little, after their SS got busted for selling the 'lean'.

Tough choices. Dillon is playing his old team and might be on a mission. I think he'll at least get a score. I'd go Jones and Clayton. Gabriel might do well, but their passing game is in disarray.
