Trade options for Peyton

Recommended Posts

Alright so here's my team, i'm 4-1 in 12 team league, feel like I have the best team in the league, i'm 2nd overall points but i'm lacking at qb. Here's my team:

QB: Vick, Alex Smith

RB: Rudi Johnson, Steven Jackson, Deuce Mac

WR: Steve Smith, Harrison, Stallworth, TJ Housh

TE: LJ Smith

K: Stover

DEF: Falcons

I'm wanting to go after Peyton, the guy is 2-3 and has many questions on his team. I'll show you his team and see if there's any trades you would recommend.

QB: P Manning, Brad Johnson

RB: Lamont Jordan, Jamal Lewis

WR: Colston, R. Moss, Reggie Brown, Reggie Williams

TE, K, Def who cares.

Is there any trade that I could offer that would help me and still give him enough? I was thinking about Vick, Sjax, and Housh for Manning and either Jamal Lewis or Lamont Jordan but that kinda hurts me at rb. Is it even worth the offer? Or just ride it out with Vick and Alex Smith? Thanks for the help, leave a linke, i'll respond!!

If I were him i'd ask for at least Rudi & Housh.. Manning's stock is low right now (as low as his really ever gets), trouble is you don't even have a guy that's Brees level or above that you could flip him.

You could try Vick, Deuce, S. Smith for:

Manning, Colston & Lamont or:

Vick, S. Jax, Marvin for same..

I dunno.. Could you shoot a little lower and go after Palmer, Bulger or even Grossman?

The reason i'm going after peyton is b/c he's looked kinda bad so far and also b/c the rest of this guys team is also struggling, so I figure I can get some buy low candidates. You guys think that Vick for bulger or grossman is an upgrade? We get 1 point per 10 yards running and 6 points for all td's. Vick is 10th in points right now among QB's so I think I can still win with him.......

My scoring system is so different than yours -- Classic TD really.. so in my league, with no bonus for a rushing TD and nothing gained by rushing yardage, Vick is a nightmare. So depending on your scoring system, if Grossman takes a dip, maybe Vick is worth sticking with for you.

Bulger, is borderline stud material and i would trade the value of two Mike Vicks to get him. Your team is good and you can give some depth -- i'd target bulger.. He's got SEA coming up twice, but those have always been shootouts. other than a CHI matchup (where you can plug in your backup).. his schedule is what FF championships are made of down the stretch.

Honestly, Bulger to me is a BIG upgrade over Vick and prob. Grossman -- Grossman looks great so if comes much cheaper than Bulger, he's also a good bet. If you go that way, keep an eye on the Griese backup for Grossman.. Grossman has a history of getting hurt.

I'd try to package SSmith w/someone to get PManning. IMO Smith will not be 100% all year. Meanwhile, you could still be starting Housh & Harrison (Assuming you only start 2 WR.)

Maybe package SSmith w/Vick and get PManning and Jordan. Yes, OAK sucks, but in week 7 BAL, STL and NO are all on byes...so you could use a RB anyway.

I know the feeling, i am 4-1with a great team and always looking to get better. But honestly you dont have much room to get better. I think you hurt your team overall if you go for a qb like peyton. who isnt actually putting up too many points. in my league vick is outplaying peyton.

try Vick and Deuce for Manning Straight up

if he declines that try adding in stallworth or housh (he's deep at Wr though so maybe not)

anything more than that and I think you'd be giving up too much... anything less would prob be out of the question
