bgard72 10 Posted October 13, 2006 Guys, My team is below in my sig. I start 3 Wr's, 2 Rb's, 1 TE, 1 QB, 1 Def, 1 K I am thinking about trading away Bryant Johnson and Randy Moss to a guy that has Larry Fitz. I've read a report where Larry Fitz's injury is looking better than worse...he might only miss a 2 or 3 weeks. His current WR's are: 1) Reggie Brown 2) Michael Clayton 3) Devery Henderson 4) Larry Fitz (hurt) 5) Reggie Wayne (bye) 5) Michael Jenkins With Fitz hurt, he is hurtin' for certain at WR (especially this week). Trade would be: Randy Moss Bryant Johnson for Reggie Brown Alge Crumpler He also has Chris Cooley on the bench as well. I would only have 4 WR's, but there are these guys available on the waiver wire: 1) Joe Horn (271 yards, 0 TD's) 2) Troy Brown (168 yards, 2 TD's) 3) Arnaz Battle (194 yards, 2 TD's) 4) Rashied Davis (128 yards, 2 TD's) Would you offer this trade? I would like to rid myself of Randy Moss and pick up a better tight end (Alex Smith has potential, but Alge is the go to guy in Atlanta). Thoughts?
Bottles 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I kind like it, but we should re-work it. I don't really love R. Brown, but I don't love R. Moss either, and Bryant clearly only has value for the immediate shortterm. The main reason to do this would be for the TE upgrade, but Crumpler has dropped a lot of balls this year, so I don't like him. Basically you're just trading around players I don't like. I'd go after Cooley.
eddyseagles 0 Posted October 13, 2006 My thoughts are that Reggie Brown's numbers will fall off when Stallworth comes back and Alge has not done anything spectacular. I would look for more he is the one who is hurting. Not sure how desperate he is but if you could get Fitz, maybe he will have value in a couple of weeks not to sure what you should offer tho. mgm32 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I don't think he'll let Alge go. Everyone knows Moss is pretty much dead weight and nothing more than a big name at this point. You'd be getting the better end of the deal and I think he would realize that also. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243486
bgard72 10 Posted October 13, 2006 You guys made me think... What about Bryant Johnson and Randy Moss for Larry Fitzgerald He gets immediate help, and the possibility of something from Moss. I take a chance on Larry that he heals up fine...if he does, I have: 1) Chad Johnson 2) Andre Johnson 3) Larry Fitzgerald 4) Reggie Williams I doubt he'd go for it though...what do you think? peaceduke 0 Posted October 13, 2006 Definitely go for Fiz. He'll be on the field in 3 weeks and you'll have a monster receiving corps. With your current lineup, you should sit Mos anyway and start Chad Johnson and Andre Johnson

If you can get Crumpler for Moss, I would say go for it....But keep an eye open for Moss being traded over the next two weeks. if you could afford to sit tight for the next week or so do it, and wait to see if the raiders trade Moss
kellyaucoin 0 Posted October 13, 2006 i agree, go for Fitz. if he wont take that trade, i wouldnt do it for Crumpler and Brown, but Cooley might be interesting. also consider that at a certain point, youre going to want to get whatever you can from Johnson. i picked him up too to trade with the guy in our league who has Fitz. tried to pry the Chargers Def from him (Def for us is huge, negative points for every 2 scored by the opposition), but he wouldnt bite. the problem is that johnson is getting a lot of negative coverage right now, a lot of folks saying that "hes never done much before and you know...he did drop that sure TD pass..." im a bit afraid that his value might be at its highest right now and after this weekend, he could be dead weight. in my league we cant drop a FA pickup for 3 weeks, but we can trade them. so im looking to get whatever i can for johnson this week before the games. just a thought. but im the paranoid sort. BJ may end up playing huge and ill be smacking myself for panicking. good luck. see mine; http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243652
Bearshomer54 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I'd try to get Fitz if possible. But if I owned Fitz, there's no way I'd trade him for Moss.
