What excuses do you have for me today? I have seen hardly any posts from you today. Eagles miss the playoffs this year need I say it again. Mcnabb will not win MVP because no more Texans, 49ers, and Packers on his schedule. I mean Joey Harrington threw for 415 yards vs. the Packers. Ya'll talk about your number one offense. Tampa's number one offense was Donovan Mcnabb. We appreciate it Mcnabb. So bring it on LOL. Did I mention Jacksonville will beat Philly next week as well. OD99 0 Posted October 22, 2006 Jesus man, you have three threads going about this now - when does your ego take a break? I have replied to the other two and here I am again, repeating myself. You were right about today - barely. At the end of the season they don't count if they are close but a 62 yarder is hardly something to gloat about. Even with McNabb giving the Bucs 14 points they almost pulled it out. It is one thing to be a bit if a jerk and try to rile people up but you don't acknowledge anything positive about the Eagles. Anything they do that is good is lucky or against a poor D and anything they do wrong is because they are the worst team in the league. Also FYI, I have never posted anything on this board during Sunday games since I signed up so don't think I was hiding. I trust you will be all over this place when the Eagles whup the Jags next weekend?

My post about you was born strictly out of the fact that you said you would punch someone out (not a surprising response from someone like you) and I still know you would get your ass kicked by just about anyone who stood up to you. Of course, now that I see how you really are: 1. Not telling anyone who your team is and ignoring the question all together 2. Not posting any facts, just obnoxious opinions I don't feel the need to reply to anything you write anymore. Trout_2 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Eloquent posts and everything else aside, I am totally pissed at the Eagles. They should have been able to win that game. The D did their job, McNabb lost the game (let's see, 3 int and thorowing up on the field) That does not instill confidence for the offense. Their done..... Milwalkeysbeast 0 Posted October 23, 2006 The following things are what I see wrong in threads much like this one: 1. You didn't win or lose anything. A bunch of guys that are from all different cities who play at the stadium closest to you did. Since you did not put the effort out to provide the win/loss, then you have no basis for gloating/giving excuses. 2. Yes, you can be a fan. But at what point does being a fan give you the AUTHORITY to call anyone out? Again, please revert to #1. You did nothing but drink beer and/or stuff your face. 3. What's that you say? You're the 12th man? Then why don't they leave a roster space for you? Why are you not involved in any plays? Whats that? you made another team call a timeout? Well, just add that on your resume as 'Other Activities'. 4. Threads like these mean nothing. They are hindsight threads. You can make a predicition but it doesn't mean anything. Statistically, even the top handicappers in the nation barely pick right 60% of the time. the fact that you picked a winner this week gives you no basis for making 3 threads about one topic other than your absolute stupidity. 5. If, in fact, the Eagles miss the playoffs, what do you gain out of it? Is your life easier? Are you healthier? Are your friends and/or family grateful? 6. "your team" winning really means NOTHING. Its just a group of guy that will all be on different teams 5 years down the road.

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted October 23, 2006 Well I don't think it's my best stuff either but what am I supposed to do, have an intelligent dialogue with him? It's like starting an argument with someone who doesn't speak english. There's absolutely no point to it and it's not going to end well. It is fun to watch though. The Philly fans on this board are just going to have to swallow their pride for a week and let this guy enjoy his 20 minutes of fame. The sun even shines on a dogs a$$ once in awhile. Then when Philly wins next week this crap will start all over again. That's part of the problem though. The Eagles win next week and you Philly fans will be calling out Mackgee, giving him exactly what he wants. Does this remind you of anyone? TO
lennie75 0 Posted October 23, 2006 As another posters said. What is McGee wanting?? Great for him he picked an NFL game...Congrats!!! I think I have heard every single Eagle fan say that. The problem is this idiot actually showed that he knows nothing about football. he says McNabb sucks...do you even watch football?? have you seen an Eagles game??? I believe McNabb is the highest rated QB in the league. I believe he is at the top of every statistical category. I believe that no matter who wins the game tonight they will still be tied with Phili in the win column!!!! hardly any teams have had tough matchups. You win the games that are put in front of you. Now tell us who your team is?? Let us tear them apart...or are you too scared to take the criticism. This is all comin from a Cowboys fan...I hate every word I just typed...but it is the truth and you need to hear the truth instead of all the voices talking in your head. Actually, MackGay told everyone last week that his team is Tampa Bay. They have two wins this year, so he doesn't brag about them too much. As far as Eagle's fans jumping all over him next week if they Jacksonville, that will be impossible. Pussies like MackGay only come around when they can shoot their mouths off about something. He wqas one 62 yard field goal away from being gone until Philly's next loss. As far as him actually upsetting any Eagle's fans right now, I can't speak for others, but, although disappointed in the last two outcomes, I'm very happy with the play of the Eagles. They've lost two games by a total of 4 points. They haven't looked bad in either game. They lost both of them on the road. Could it come back to bite them in the ass, absolutely. The NFC looks very close this year. But I still feel they're playing as well as anyone in the conference. That's more than I can say about how I thought they'd do before the season started. Mackgee 0 Posted October 30, 2006 At this stage they will need it but that is why they play 16 games. 8 to go and I see the Eagles 7-9 as I said earlier maybe 8-8. No playoffs this year. Eagles need a defense, a Number 1 receiver, and they have an aging O-line. Not a good mix in the NFL.

Not a good mix in the NFL. I don't know if the needs are that drastic...but the receivers did not help McNabb early on (again) and it caused the whole offense to sputter. I think Brown is becoming a legitimate #1 though. They can't run the ball or stop the run and that is something I put on the coaching staff - as well as their inability to manage the clock. I dont know for sure but I think their O-Line is probably younger than the average?

I think both Brown and Stallworth are both number 2 receivers. The D is horrible. The reason the clock cannot be managed is they cannot stop the run.
OD99 0 Posted October 30, 2006 Brown is pretty good for a second year player as WR's typically take a few years to develop - I think he will be a #1 in this league. I mean how they manage the clock when they have the ball - not getting a field goal at the end of the first half last week against the Bucs is a prime example, they pull that garbage all the time. Eagles need a defense, a Number 1 receiver, and they have an aging O-line. Not a good mix in the NFL. you get dumber and dumber with every thread. Nothing you say ever makes sense. Nobody on the O-line is aging that they don't already have a replacement for. Let me introduce to you Max-Jean Giles and Winston Justice. Herramens could go back to his natural RT position with Giles filling in at Guard and Justice will take over at LT. Brown and Baskett can be fine as the duo in 2007, but we'll probably bring someone in to compete with those guys...depending on if Stallworth isn't re-signed becuase of his injury issues. Also, look for the Eagles to finally get a back that can grind out the clock. Finally, why the hell am I talking about 2007. Were in the playoffs baby and have a shot at homefield advantage (in our 1st game anyways)...

I spend most of my time here on the geek bored and get my fantasy football info. earlier. The O-line average is tilted because of Thomas and Runyan. already have replacement plans for boff...like I have said. Good teams plan for the future- which is why Philly has been good in the past 5 years.
