dumbassmax2001 0 Posted October 27, 2006 I have offered the Larry Johnson owner Steven Jackson & Caddy for LJ. He is a bit slim at RB with his only other starting RB being Jamal Lewis. We can start 2 or 3 RB's. My team is in my signature. Do you think this is enough to land LJ or will I have to give up more? Leave your link and I will gladly respond. Thanks. Steven Jackson has done very well, but, being a #1 pick overall (most likely), owners have a hard time letting go. I think your offer is fair since both SJ and Callicac are starters -- if you throw in a WR or a DST, he may not be able to refuse..
bobpate17 0 Posted October 27, 2006 I don't think he would accept. caddy has been ok so far. I would offer mcgahee and jax. U will still have C. taylor that u can always plug in with LJ. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=248438

I would certainly think that is enough to land LJ. If I was the LJ owner, I'd take a long look at that trade.
jwhatti 1 Posted October 27, 2006 THanks for the help on mine. I think that may be enough, but like it was said before, LJ being a top 3 pick that is hard to trade away. I would leave it as it is now and see what the other owner says. May get lucky.
RedzoneMonster 107 Posted October 27, 2006 Honestly, looking at your team I think you should try to upgrade your QB position before you look to get LJ. Your RB’s are actually pretty good and you have nice depth at the position. Wait until after this week when Grossman’s value will be high (playing SF) then try to package him with a RB like Caddy or Mcgahee to get a premier type QB (look at Caddy’s and Mcgehee’s remaining schedules and see who has the worst matchups and trade that one) . Look to trade with an owner strong at QB, but hurting at RB. Your remaining 4 RB’s would still be pretty strong and you will always have 2/3 rbs w/ good matchups to start. ONESOLO8 0 Posted October 27, 2006 I WOULD TAKE JAX AND MC GAHEE... DON'T THINK HE WILL PULL THE TRIGGER WITH CADDY? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=248457
MaddogMoney 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I agree with the comment about upgrading at QB. But, LJ would be nice. You might be able to pull off both. You've got a lot of depth at RB and trading away some depth for the big points would be great. Any advice for me? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=248547
leftyguitar 0 Posted October 28, 2006 no way i'd ever do that. caddy is doin NOTHIN this year so far. SJax is gettin yardage but crap for TDs. Johnson is just gettin rollin.
vinniedasquid 0 Posted October 28, 2006 Im my league's scoring (10yards=1pt, td=6pts), the backs mentioned break down as follows: LJ=118pts SJax=82 Caddy=48 Jamal=38 Jackson and Caddy have scored a total of 12 points more than LJ has scored on his own. Doesn't look like an upgrade to me. McGahee sweetens the deal a little but has still only scored one td. If you think the guy will actually take either of those deals then go ahead and offer them (which you should have done before asking us about it, it's not so bad an offer to be insulting or anything). If I had LJ, you'd have to give me more, probably enough that it wouldn't be worth it to you. IMO you can always try those offers but don't sweat it if they are declined, just try to improve somewhere else. Good luck
hagler 0 Posted October 28, 2006 I wouldn't give up LJ for that.........not with Caddy... If I was you, I'd also try to upgrade at QB........stick with SJax and C.Taylor.... Package McGahee or Caddy with Grossman or A.Smith and go for a better QB.....take a look at other teams and see who could benefit from a RB and has two good QBs..... Please help with mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=248554

thenewlibrahi2 0 Posted October 28, 2006 steve smith and sjax for LJ declined? what? wow..... i would think caddy wouldn't be too interesting for the LJ owner.... i think mcgahee and sjax would get him for sure, but that's a lot to give up. having c. taylor to plug in with LJ if you got him though, that's nice.... good luck.... see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=248633
