dalie 2 Posted November 4, 2006 2 guys hurt by RBBC alot, I think I would go JJ because of Fred injury reputation, but if both stay healthy it is a toss up http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=250632
sb2232 0 Posted November 4, 2006 JJ simply because of Fragile Fred's injury history. Both healthy they're equal, but I say JJ ends up playing more. Help appreciated: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=250638
Guest JahRasta311 Posted November 4, 2006 lol...come on people, julius jones has an injury history just like fred taylor, and fred taylor actually gets some goal line work. you guys ever hear of marion barber? jax has a cake schedule, i like fred taylor's chances of putting up a more than decent 2nd half. philssteelers200 0 Posted November 4, 2006 J. Jones, just because of Taylor's injury past (future) thanks for mine
aportanenko 0 Posted November 4, 2006 it's a close one but i think jones wins. maurice jones drew gets the goalline carries.
GlennG31 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Go with Julius Jones. He may not get all the goalline carries, but he's still good for a couple more TD's this season, and almost 100 yds. per game. Good luck! Please help me with mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=250651
bunnerjk 0 Posted November 4, 2006 JJ, Drew will be taking over the work load soon!!!!
brust012 0 Posted November 4, 2006 I also have to go JJ. I have seen Drew play a couple of times and really think Jax is starting to get him some more work. I never have been a big fan of Fred Taylor and I think Romo will need to rely on JJ to get the job done. Go with JJ...
Ray_T 779 Posted November 4, 2006 fred Taylor has scored less than JJ so far this year. Fred has also just been injured in practice. They dont expect it will keep him out of the lineup, but typically half of fred's injuries will not take him out of the lineup but will hurt his production. With Jones-drew now on his team, this could mean less carries for fred taylor. you want JJ more than you want fragile fred.
just_want_2_win 0 Posted November 4, 2006 I say stick with Julius...Barber III is a TD vulture but not much of a carries vulture and isn't as integral to the O as is Julius. MJD vultures TDs and carries from Taylor. I think he spells Taylor so much that Taylor isn't fragile this year (so far) because of so much rest. Both Taylor and Julius have injury issues so it's nearly a wash there aside from Taylor being older and thus maybe a bit more of a risk. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=250659
Foberton 0 Posted November 4, 2006 Definitly Julius. He keeps gaining confidence in his abilities as the year goes on and Defenses will shifting a little bit more focus on the pass game now that Romo and TO are growing a connection. Here's mine if you can, thansk! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=250654
Guest JahRasta311 Posted November 4, 2006 jesus...people...you're all just saying things just to say them. Fred Taylor and Julius Jones have nearly identical numbers in yardage, and they have the same amount of TDs. Marion Barber has stolen twice the TDs that MJD has stolen on the ground. Julius Jones started 12 games last season, Fred Taylor started 11..These 2 are both injury prone, not just Fred. Fred Taylor is playing for a contract and they still have a cake ass schedule. Dallas' matchups are iffy all the way. Oh and MJD/Barber have the same amount of yards, so MJD doesn't vulture anymore than Barber does.
himmystyles 30 Posted November 4, 2006 I have Taylor, and hes been a great surprise at my flex option.. I would keep riding him until Drew really does take over... The arguement about who gets the TDs can be made for both, as MB3 and Drew vulture some. Its annoying, but I would go with Taylor now and then make the switch to JJ if Drews workload increases even more than it is now. I AM thinking about trading Taylor however, so please see mine! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=250672
Guest JahRasta311 Posted November 4, 2006 MJDs carries aren't gonna go up. Fred Taylor is the featured back, he wears down defenses. They let him get around 20 carries a game before they stop letting him carry. 20 carries against tennessee this week will provide more than satisfactory numbers. After this week Taylor has 1 more matchup a piece with tennessee and houston.
