This guy really wants McGahee

Recommended Posts

In a dynasty league, my team is listed below. There is a team who has offered me 4 different trades at different points in the season to try and get McGahee. What could I trade with this guy that makes my team better as well?

His latest offer was: Kitna, Furrey, and Wilford for McGahee.

I don't like 3 for one trades, especially when that means I have to drop players who I am stashing away to play a year or two down the line.

The league is a ppr league, so that plays into this.

Here is his team:

Grossman, Rex CHI QB

Kitna, Jon DET QB

Manning, Peyton IND QB

Anderson, Mike BAL RB

Crockett, Zack OAK RB

Davis, Stephen STL RB

Fargas, Justin OAK RB

Kuhn, John PIT RB

Lewis, Jamal BAL RB

Morris, Maurice SEA RB

Perry, Chris CIN RB

Smith, Musa BAL RB

Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB

Wright, Jason CLE RB

Evans, Lee BUF WR

Furrey, Mike DET WR

Gabriel, Doug NEP WR

Glenn, Terry DAL WR

Moss, Randy OAK WR

Stokley, Brandon IND WR

Wilford, Ernest JAC WR

Williamson, Troy MIN WR

Baker, Chris NYJ TE

Heap, Todd BAL TE

Gould, Robbie CHI PK

and Bobby Engram on IR

Does the trade he offered even seem like a good one? I like Wilford since Gerrard seems to look for him in the Red Zone, but the other two...meh.

What would you offer him? Or would you stick with McGahee for the future. EDIT: He has now offered me Moss for McGahee...I'm thinking of offering McGahee for Moss and his first round rookie pick next year...would that be a fair trade for both of us?

I will help you out as always as long as you don't just put "don't do it"

although right now mcgahee isnt consistent right now i believe once he becomes more expierienced like what i would like to say...next year i believe he has more potential than any one he offered to get him.... and i dont see any one you should try and get because Manning and LT are too good to trade

I can see why he's hot for McGahee... looks like he'll have a bunch of #3 RB's in 2 or 3 years.

I don't know what you need, but I would want a very good value player for McGahee. Like you said... not two or three "meh" players.

Aside from Manning, LT, Moss and maybe a couple others... I don't see anyone on his roster that I would give him up for.

Well, I am in need of a good WR since my only good one is Wayne. The only thing is I would be weak at RB if I get rid of McGahee.

Do you think it would be worth it to try and get Wilford and his round 1 rookie pick for McGahee? Or something similar?

It appears McGahee is one of if not your best backs... I wouldn't trade him especially for the last offer with Kitna... I really don't see what you accomplish out of the deal other than loading up his RB core ( Stephen Davis, LT, Jamal etc)

I wouldn't recommend any trade to him unless he offers you up something you cannot refuse. If he wants McGahee so bad make him keep coming with BETTER people not MORE people.

OK, he just sent me another offer...

I would give him McGahee and he would give me Moss.

OK, I don't think I would do this deal either...Moss will be 30 next year and McGahee 25. Moss also has not been doing anything.

What could I add to the deal of Moss McGahee to make it a better deal for me while still being fair?

The Moss deal is a bit more intriguing as he might get dealt in the offseason. However, I'd stick with Willis despite the ribs, JP, and all the other headaches. If you are going to deal him wait for a high point to do it. Peddling a dude with 3 broken ribs won't pull the best value even in keeper leagues.

How about if I offered him McGahee for Moss and his first round rookie pick next year? Would that be fair for both of us?

I want to make a deal if I'm going to soon as our trade deadline is Sunday before the games start.

I would hold on to magahee. Moss is a question mark whereas you know magahee is the man in Buffalo for the foreseeable future.

Thanks for mine.
