Cleveland Browns fans, serious question?

Recommended Posts

How much longer do you give Romeo Crennel to turn it around? I know this is only his second year, but what's the word in Cleveland?

I think he should stay for as long as he wants to. Romeo has very little talent on his roster to work with at the key offensive positions which are his craptacular QB's and RB's.

I am not a Cleveland fan. But, I think this discussion can go into other teams. It seems that because many coaches are now able to come into a team and turn them around almost instantly that it is putting more and more preasure on other coaches. This isn't like college...you don't have the excuse that you don't have your recruits playing yet. There is free agency...plus the NFL is so equal right now.

I think the key is that your team needs to be showing a progression. I think you should at least get 3 years but if your team sucks year 1 and makes no progress at all or goes downhill...in todays NFL you have to wonder??!!

ESPN was showing pictures of coaches on the hot seat. I could not hear it, but they showed Romeo first (along with Mora and Dennis Green). All are viable candidates to be shown the door.

Brian Billick seems to be doing a good job of coaching the Browns.

It is not as though Crennel has no talent - while his QB spot may be the worst in the league, they do not even attempt to challenge the field vertically.

Down 17 points and they run Jason Wright on 3rd and 9 up the middle?

This team has some offensive talent to throw the ball too - they just need to figure out how to use it.

Crennel can stay, but the Off. co-ord needs to go - this team has needs on both sides of the ball - but you have to challenge the other team, epsecially if they excel against the run.

The Browns are the most pathetic franchise in the NFL. Willie Parker is running all over them. And the Brown's can't catch a ball if it was dropped into their hands.

Yeah, Northcutt has not helped his team at all tonight. Dropped 2 first down passes.
