VaTerp 0 Posted January 13, 2007 Upgrading Manhattan to 8 units. It was my favorite game tonight anyway. Had a busy day at work and didnt get a chance to look at any games. Just glancing I liked Manhattan b/c I really like Bobby Gonzales as a coach even though they havent done well this year. I was gonna take the night off but after seeing Philly make this an 8 unit play I put a couple units on Uptown. Philly, I take full responsibility if this bet doesnt cash since I pale in comparison to you as a capper. But I've been pretty good at college hoops over the years and this week. Here's to Manhattan putting some cash in our accounts so I can inevitably blow it on the NFL this weekend.
phillybear 365 Posted January 13, 2007 Link to Manhattan radio feed. Manhattan up 12-4, timeout on floor. Radio link
phillybear 365 Posted January 13, 2007 Manhattan up 40-29 at the half. Really want this game to win, to make up for the Fresno St disaster from last night. I keep trying to make a decent night into a monster night with these late big plays. I hope I can get this one.
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted January 13, 2007 The line is 0 at the half on the Manhatten game. Can Manhatten hold an 11 point lead and at least make it 12 by the end of the game? That's what it will take to win a 2nd half bet here. They're talking about Iona and all their injuries. Thanks for the audio link PhillyBear.

That's what it will take to win a 2nd half bet here. They're talking about Iona and all their injuries. Thanks for the audio link PhillyBear. Iona is the worst team in that conference. Manhattan, after a rocky start, is basically in the midst of a long road trip. And other than a 13 point loss at Long Beach St, a tie game at the half, Manhattan is getting better and better. I forget who they were playing, but I took Manhattan a couple of days ago as a dog on the road in conference, and they won the game outright. I faded Iona vs Maryland, when the spread was 30.5, and Maryland won by 31. Iona is not good. But they are due for a win. I hope it's not tonight. Also radio links aren't hard to come up with. Go to covers.com and their forums. Usually they have game threads, and someone will inevitably post a radio or TV link, or someone is watching the game live. phillybear 365 Posted January 13, 2007 Every focking possession, Iona is being bailed out with a foul and is marching to the line. Manh almost got a technical for complaining so much. This game is fixed, and I am not happy being on the wrong side. Fock.

phillybear 365 Posted January 13, 2007 Big bet alert.... Miami (+6) 2nd H for 12 units.. Miami got a lot healthier, getting a couple players back from injury. If I wasn't sweating out thr Manh bet, I would have gone to town with Miami 1st H. And Miam is winning by 10 as a 4 point dog. And you have to wonder why. They have more players at their disposale, more enthusiam...blah....blah....blah...

phillybear 365 Posted January 14, 2007 Win some, lose some, but I deserved a better fate with So Miss. It was a 3 point game with about 3 minutes to go. And Memphis goes on a huge run, making every FT, and wins by 13, and I get a craptastic push. Handicap a game dead on, and still can't get the cover.

phillybear 365 Posted January 14, 2007 Well, it's that time of night again, when I abandon my gameplan because of alcohol. Adding... Long Beach St 2nd H (-4) for 12 units BYU (+4.5) 2nd H for 12 units Hawaii (-3.5) for 12 units Long Beach is a high scoring team, being held to 31 points at the end of the first half, and it was uglier earlies. I can't imagine that they can't get their offense going. UNLV is missing their two best players, including their point guard. BYU will win this game, and I'll take the points as insurance. BYU blew a nice lead going into half time, so I will jump on the value here. Fazekas is still out, Nevada's best player. Hawaii is just unreal at home, turning good teams into crap. After Nevada rallied in the 2nd half vs San Jose St last game, I can't imagine what they can do to get win. So I'll take Hawaii, which made Fresno look ridiculous in their last game. Wow. Just got a miracle cover with Georgetown. Hopefully, it's a harbinger of things to come. at least g-town hits a meaningless 3 w/ a second left to cover....nice Man, it looked like Pitt was going to win by double digits the whole game. phillybear 365 Posted January 14, 2007 Drunken adding.... Cleveland (+1.5) for 12 units Hawaii 1st H (-2)@-105 for 12 units Cleveland is in the midst of a rally. According to quotes, this road trip is very important to them. If Hawaii doesn't jump out on Nevada early, I am a focking idiot when it comes to handicapping
GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Biggest home crowd for the year for Hawaii. Let's hope it plays out as a "6th man". No Nick Fazekas should hurt Nevada's rebounding. I need Hawaii ML to win my bet. Nevada doesn't have much depth, so Hawaii needs to get Nevada in foul trouble to win.

art schlichter's bookie 0 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted record 3-1 Finally lost one in a heartbreaker vs USC. Great game nonetheless. Already bet on Ohio twice this year vs. Louisville and Akron covering both. Bobcats go into Kent today for a Sunday matinee. Kent has lost (at home) to Youngstown State and Cleveland State this year and are 8-7. The Bobcats (11-4) have the most talent in the MAC (five guys average double digits) but are inconsistent on the road (see loss to Marshall, Stamford). Last game vs. BG at home Ohio opened with an 18-3 run. They are playing with a purpose now and I see them outclassing an average Kent team for the first Ohio win in 6 years at Kent. Oh yeah, I get 5 points too because of Ohio's poor road record. Ohio +5 for two units WINNER
