Giants Fan 85 Posted March 16, 2007 That was one helluva water cooler day that morning. "Did you see Seinfeld last night?" BTW it wasn't Gladys Mayo ... it was Dan Storper. Good guy. I'm pretty sure the retail store on Spring Street is still there. There is no Cinco De Mayo store. http://www.putumayo.com

Giants Fan 85 Posted March 16, 2007 I'm not joking ... pick up a first cut of "Women of the World", I did the layout. Named in the credits. I left that job for the job at Playboy. Dan Storper gave me my break. He's a Jewish guy with Ceaser like, white hair and a permanent smile. Was a great boss. But, I was in the Marketing department .... and we were blindsided. Thought Dan might be mad ... but he took it in stride. Prolly got paid. I bet he got paid, but he wouldn't say a word about it. Didn't seem mad though. Giants Fan 85 Posted March 16, 2007 FYI H & H is real too. As WAS Kenny Roger's Roasters. "Kenny? Kenny?" And the Soup Nazi? Real. I've decided to build a rollercoaster instead. Kramer: "I'll bet you ... 1 month, schwoop! Done." Jerry: "I'll give you a year!" Later ... Kramer: "Bet's off, I'm not doing it." Jerry: "That was the bet!" Giants Fan 85 Posted March 16, 2007 It's a true story. I have a Putumayo album that I d/led from allofmp3: Putumayo Presents: Brasileiro Good stuff. Awesome! It also used to be (I think still is) a womens clothinng company, but Dan really got into "World Music". Putumayo is a basin, in Brazil. That's where the name comes from. Good people run that company, too. Little known fact .... Andie McDowell's first big job as a model was for Putumayo. It's like ... a scientifict fact, OK?
