huskerboy 0 Posted April 30, 2007 See the rookie RB rankings for reason I wanted to start it by position. Here goes...feel free to rip away and put your own. I'm just going with my initial gut feeling based on talent and opprotunity: 1. Calvin Johnson 2. Dwayne Bowe 3. Craig Davis 4. Robert Meachem 5. Anthony Gonzales 6. Dwayne Jarret 7. Sidney Rice 8. Steve Smith 9. Jacoby Jones 10. Ted Ginn 11. Courtney Taylor 12. James Jones 13. Jason Hill 14. Andrae Allison 15. Paul Williams 16. Steven Breaston 17. David Clowney 18. Chris Davis
What is the deal? 1 Posted April 30, 2007 at 1st glance, Courtney Taylor is too high. He may not even sniff the field with Engram, Burleson, Branch, Hackettt, and Obanamu. Steve Breaston has the same problem. Where is Mike Walker or Laurent Robinson? Johnnie Lee Higgins?

huskerboy 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Not very original. I don't see any changes from the reg. draft. A. Gonz will not be the 5th WR taken. I can take a rip, but not original and Gonz not 5th is all you got? Ginn - 2nd in draft, 10th on my list Flipped Davis and Meachem Flipped Jarrett and Rice Taylor was 25th WR taken, I have him 11th Nothing from 9 down is in the order taken in the draft. I'd say that's fairly original. And the fact that some of the top 8 resemble the regular draft? Uhhhh, that's because they just MIGHT have been taken in that order for somewhat of a reason. I still mixed them around a bit. And Gonz very well could be taken as the #5 WR. He runs awesome routes, and Manning's a precision guy. A #3 in Indy is comparable to a #2 on most teams or better. And Marvin ain't exactly young anymore. What you got for yours?
jdswan922 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Where's Roy Hall? I actually think he could be interesting, but I guess his hands leave something to be desired. at 6'3" 230 and a 4.35 40 time, you figure that if any QB can do something with him, it would be Peyton. Could be a good late round sleeper in a rookie draft.
bigmarc27 24 Posted April 30, 2007 I'll tier them but for my own drafts coming up (with people from here) I won't go player by player and some are intentionally not in the right spot within the tier... Calvin Johnson -- Dwayne Bowe Anthony Gonzales Robert Meachem -- Dwayne Jarrett Ted Ginn Steve Smith Sidney Rice -- After that, there's no rank and file order to any of them -- just take who you like. But I would wager that Gonz will not be taken higher than 5th among WR's in dynasty rookie drafts in 5% of leagues. Not that this post will be around to respond to when drafts take place, but I will post a poll at that time, seeing if Gonz was the 5th or higher WR taken. SoloAJ 0 Posted April 30, 2007 Where's Laurent Robinson? Give my alma mater some love. It's not like there is a huge plethora of WR talent in Atlanta. Robinson may not be the greatest ever, but I think he can get in the top 20 (or whatever you listed) for Rookie FF coontribution.

Robinson may not be the greatest ever, but I think he can get in the top 20 (or whatever you listed) for Rookie FF coontribution. I knew I had him in there, but when I checked my list again he was gone. I double checked my hand-written list and I had him after Jason Hill at 14, but wrote him in there later and didn't see it when I copied it to this board. My bad. I've got him in there! huskerboy 0 Posted April 30, 2007 so you answered the concerns about Laurent Robinson missing what about Mike Walker- not like Jax WR's have lit it up Like everybody else is stating and like I found out when trying to rank these WR's, after that 11-14, it didn't even matter anymore. They're all in there together. No rip intended. I like the effort. Responded to your RB, and felt you were pretty dead on. Looking like there's more validation coming in on Gonz since others here are putting him top 3. We hold our rookie draft in two weeks. I'll let you know where he goes in ours.
