randandy 0 Posted May 3, 2007 im tired of reading posts from seemingly intelligent ppl complaining incessantly on the state of politics, america, and the world. true intellect involves problem solving, not simply complaining about the problems. i could link the drudgereport, i wont because im not a schmuck. get over it, or get off your arse and change it. IGotWorms 4,058 Posted May 3, 2007 youre right, by god. i mean, look at the state of our nations education system. so many people that graduate from schools around the country cant even use a simple apostrophe. its a sad state of affairs, isnt it?

IndyTom 0 Posted May 3, 2007 How am I supposed to know what to change without reading the posts? Besides, I am surrounded by like-minded people at work, home, and when I am with my friends. This is the only place where I can read the "other point of view" and perhaps broaden my view of the world.

I think you are overlooking something fundamental. Yes, many of these posts start with a link to a news story (Drudge just links other sites, incidentally). At that point, everyone discusses the story at hand and adds their own philosophical point of view to the discussion. I don't think anyone here is claiming to be an expert after linking a story. I believe the goal is to discuss current events.
