Gay Focker 0 Posted June 29, 2007 They counted down the list of the top 20 sports stories in the last 20 years in New York. I remembered that I bet the Yankees vs. Montrael on July 18th, 1999. That is the day that David Cone pitched a perfect game (I had the Yankees -170), risked $850 to win $500! I think the final was 5-0. I normally don't bet that much but I had opened up an overseas account and won some money on the All-star game (took the under and it was 4-1) and some other baseball games. Anyone ever bet on a record setting/memorable game (i.e baseball milestone, recordsetting nfl/college football game, etc)?
Voltaire 4,564 Posted June 29, 2007 During the Mark McGwire homerun year, I was at a game when he hit one into the McDonalds Bic Mac section of the Busch Stadium bleachers. I was able to trade in my ticket stub for a free Big Mac the next day.
