Branch is set up to be the #1 in SEA, will he finally put up the numbers to justify the contract he wanted when leaving NE?

or

is LColes the better bet for FF??

Which one are you taking in the 5th? (or first of the two even if you wouldn't take them in the 5th) and why?

I like Branch now that Jackson is out of Seattle. He should be the #1 go to guy as long as he doesn't start dropping passes which I have seen him do in the past. Go Seahawks !!

it's a tough call, but I'd take Coles.

neither pile up the TD numbers, but Coles has proven he'll rack up the catches and yardage.

- Branch has never tallied a thousand yard season (Coles has 3--- 2 of 'em 1200+)

- Branch only has one season of 70+ catches (Coles has 5--- 2 of 'em 80+ and 2 of 'em 90+)

- Finally, Coles was 8th in targets last year. (151). He's a huge part of the Jets offensive game plan and the Jets should be improved on offense with TJ at RB and a talented, young O-line getting better.

Branch MAY break out in SEA. Maybe it was NE's game plan that held Branch back.

But why gamble? It isn't like Branch's ceiling is all that high... you KNOW Coles can put up the numbers.

I go with Branch.. Djax is gone and Branch should put up good numbers. Plus I like Hass better than Pennington...

Coles owner, and I'd rather have Branch. I just think the Seattle offence will put up much better WR numbers. With TJ in town, I expect the Jets to try to run more. That should open up the run game, but I don't think they'll ever put up Seattle type passing stats. Plus, Branch plays in a much easier division defensively IMO.

I go with Branch all the way, i've always liked Coles but I feel that his situation(Pennington, Cotchery emerging, and concussions) does not provide the same possibilities as Branchs does. Branch joined the hawks like two weeks into the season and played 4 weeks with Senaca Wallace(like him but he's not Matt) as the starter as well as 6 weeks with Maurice Morris. He played as the no.2 last year and still had 101 tagets. This guy was the superbowl MVP in an offense that did not showcase his skills. Branch is a better reciever than DJax and DJax averaged close to 60/1050/9 if you exclude his rookie year and 05 when he only played 6 games. The hawks saw fit to part with Jackson and now Branch is the man, the same man that recieved 39mil/13 in guarantee and the hawks gave up a first rounder. Branch will get every opportunity to shine and he will step up to the plate(superbowl mvp) and show all that he was worth every penny the hawks gave up. A team does not pay such a hi price unless they know he can walk the walk. Branch is a top 10 easy this year and possibly higher. The hawks O or the Jets hmmm......... let me think about that one. Give me Matt,SA, over Chad,TJ anyday. I know they lost Hutchison last year but SA is still projected as the 3rd or 4th back so all the signs are there and barring injury or another total team collapse I see 90/1200/9.

They could both possibly put up very similar numbers, but Branch's upside is much, much higher.

I would go with Branch.

Mediocrity doesn't win fantasy games... When 2 players, such as these, are ranked very close -- I always go with the higher upside. In this case, I don't think there is any question.

Personally, I take Branch because Ryan's stats backup what I'm trying to do this year. If you get Coles, then you may miss on the chance to get Cotchery as a great value pick probably 4-5 rounds later. I think Cotchery may even outplay Coles this year.

A lot of good arguments for both, but I like Coles. Another thing to consider, Coles has never missed a start in his career. You just know what you're getting with him, week to week... Branch, not so much.

I'll take the guy who's actually been there, done that - been an actual week in and week out FF WR. Give me Coles. Branch is more of a "take him if he falls past his ADP" kind of guy - an upside guy that you get at a steal...or a wasted later round pick.

IMO, i'd go Branch as well. I like Hass throwing better than Penny. I see the Jets utilizing T.Jones more and with Crotch emerging, I like Branch better. Good luck
