Some good news for LJ, but where is he?

Recommended Posts

First the good news.

1) LT Damien McIntosh is ahead of schedule from his injury and should be ready week 1.

2) TE Jason Dunn has been activated from the PUP and will be ready week 1. He is their primary blocking TE.

So that's 2 huge bits of good news for LJ, but what's up with his holdout? After hearing last week that they were close to agreement, nothing else has been said in about a week now? Anyone know the latest?

I am from KC and I heard this morning that he is in town today, so looks like something might happen either tomorrow or Wednesday of this week. He was in Arizona working out at some athlete training facility. If he came back, that must mean something.

Chris Mortensen on the halftime show said that Carl Peterson was in Houston over the weekend visiting LJ and that we should expect LJ back by Wednesday.

I wish that was what he said, but he had no basis to say he would be signed that soon. He was purely speculating

Okay, murf, you're right, it was all speculation. What Mortensen actually said was:

"They hope to get him signed to an extension any day now. They'd like to get it done by Wednesday. The president and GM Carl Peterson went to Arizona to see the Cardinals and Texans play this Saturday, I think he went to see Larry Johnson, that's where Larry Johnson's been training to stay in shape. So we are awaiting word on that."

I listened to it again and man did it sound more factual the first time out. Wishful thinking I guess.

I snagged him at 1.08 of a 12 team draft yesterday! I thought good value here. Guess folks are thinking his O-line and his holdout are bad news.

Not bad enough for me!

Wow robb, you and I came into our FFToday existences on the same day and we both love LJ. Are we soulmates?

Not soulmates-just 2 folks who knew a GREAT site when they saw one!!

I don't love LJ, but at 1.08 I couldn't pass him up.

If he was getting to camp here soon I don't see how you can pass him at #3. His situation is barely different from last season.

But I fear if he sits out right up until last week, he will barely play in week 1 and end up hurt cause training in Arizona is just not the same as going against live bullets.

I need news now  I draft tomorrow.

Dude carried the ball 416 times last year. Do you really think he needs a few touches in preseason to get back into game form? Draft with confidence my friend.

You have reason to be nervous but come on, the Chiefs have no one else, they have to resign him. Don't worry about it.
