thabib25 0 Posted August 29, 2007 according to CBS sportsline: Chris Chambers, WR MIA News: The Miami Herald has caught on to an NFL Network report that suggests the Dolphins are willing to trade WR Chris Chambers. The club thinks Chambers is a good player, but with rookie WR Ted Ginn, Jr. playing well this preseason, the team is considering its options. Chambers is scheduled to make over $7 million this season and had an arrest late this offseason after being charged with a DWI in North Carolina; he has since pled not guilty. Analysis: Fantasy owners have been waiting for Chambers to explode into a dynamo receiver, but it's never happened. While he's been Miami's No. 1 WR for years, he would be a No. 2 option on most other teams. If he gets traded, the only way he'll be of value immediately this season is if it's with a club whose offense he's already familiar with (St. Louis would be one, but they probably are not interested). Consider Chambers as a No. 3 Fantasy WR worth a middle-round pick in all drafts
yostevo 0 Posted August 29, 2007 The Miami Herald reports that Chris Chambers will remain a Dolphin this season. The paper confirms that the Dolphins did gauge league interest in the veteran, but have "no imminent plans" to trade him or cut him, despite his high salary. GobbleDog 987 Posted August 29, 2007 Replace Chambers with Ted Ginn? Cameron can't be that crazy, can he? I know his system didn't include a #1 WR at San Diego, but Miami doesn't have an A Gates type. Even though I'm a Dolphin fan, I can admit that I've never been all that thrilled about Chambers. But he's got to be a better option than Ted Ginn Jr.
Deadpool 0 Posted August 29, 2007 I don't put alot of faith into information that I read on CBS sportsline. Its almost like they want to generate some news by speculation. There is alot of competition out there so everyone wants to be "cutting edge" in the rumor department. You are much better off getting news straight from the local news coverage (in this case the Miam Herald) as yostevo pointed out.

It seems that lack of production isn't the problem, it is his salary. Still, the Dolphins would be foolish to let him go this season. Adam Schein on Sirius radio reporting that both Chambers and Ronnie Brown are in Cam Cameron's doghouse. Also, Schein's saying that going to Denver would be best for both sides. Doesn't see it happening though.
RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted August 29, 2007 Even though I don't think it will happen... let's talk about some teasm that need WR's: Lions (jk) Jaguars, Chiefs, and Titans come to mind first and foremost. Chambers in a Charger or Ravens Uniform seems like it could be a real good thing. Panthers or Bucs possibly. Oh well, who cares... probably won't happen. I would even go out on a limb and tell you to find a blogger that follows the team hardcore and has attended all of summer camp. They could probably give you more insight than Adam Shefter could. I don't doubt that this players may be in the "dog house" but to speculate that Chambers is about to be traded is someone possibly trying to create news where there is none. bryberns 0 Posted August 30, 2007 Ginn Jr. and Chambers are two totally different types of WR's. But if you think about it, Santana Moss has had some very successful seasons with the same type of build as Ginn Jr. Moss is listed as 5-10 185 Ginn Jr. is listed as 6-0 180 Coming off a foot injury he got in the championship game last year...he ran a 4.38 40. Granted he broke his foot celebrating his Kickoff return in the championship game last year, I still like the guy. If he puts on some weight, I think he could be a very solid WR in the NFL.
