Bones40 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I had the 12th pick out of a 12 team PPR league. Pretty performance heavy. Starting lineup is: QB, RB, WR, 3 W/R, TE, K, D, DL, DB My Team: QB: Hasselbeck, Cutler RB: Maroney, Henry, T. Bell, B. Jacksom WR: Fitz, Buress, R. Brown, B. Edwards, Cotchery TE: Gates K: Longwell (thinking of getting a different FA) DL: Bart Scott D: Vrabel DB: Archuletta Who I drafted and when: 1. (12) Laurence Maroney RB 2. (13) Travis Henry RB 3. (36) Larry Fitzgerald WR 4. (37) Antonio Gates TE 5. (60) Reggie Brown WR 6. (61) Plaxico Burress WR 7. (84) Braylon Edwards WR 8. (85) Tatum Bell RB 9. (108) Brandon Jackson RB 10. (109) Jerricho Cotchery WR 11. (132) Matt Hasselbeck QB 12. (133) Jay Cutler QB 13. (156) Bart Scott DL 14. (157) Adam Archuleta DB 15. (180) Ryan Longwell K 16. (181) Mike Vrabel DL At first I loved my RB's, but I'm kicking myself for not getting K. Jones over Bell. I didn't hear they decided to keep Jones off the pup list. I also reached big time for B. Jackson but for some reason had a gut feeling on him. Now I hate him. Overall, how am I and what should I look to improve through FA, WW and trades?
Texansfan 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I like your team overall, BUT I would try to acquire a more solid #3 RB. Bell and Jackson are iffy at best. Maybe you could package one of them and one of your lesser WRs (Edwards or Cothery) for a more reliable back. Overall good team though! See mine!
Poloc2289 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I think you have a very solid team. Championship worthy I believe. The only position (and I don't know much about it because I never drafted defensive players) is Archuleta. He's not a good DB. Good job though and good luck http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=283376

The thing about this PPR league is I like to be WR heavy. Somehow I ended up pretty balanced. I will never start more than 2 RB's most likely until I see more from Bell and Jackson. Thanks for the response.

You're right though, he's not good at coverage but he is back in Lovie's system where he was a pro-bowler. There's always good DB's in FA so I'm not worried about it. Thanks for the response, will get to yours in a minute/
Bones40 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I'm thinking of getting Jacoby Jones, but not sure who I would drop. Maybe Cotchery? Maybe t. Bell?
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 1, 2007 I like your team... your QB's were steals where you got them. Keep T Bell as the Lions gave Dre Bly up for him and KJ is weeks away from being ready. Drop Cotchery for a flyer on Jacoby Jones. I picked him up but we also get IKRTD pts from him. --- Thx for already answering mine

The question now becomes whether to keep him on the bench and wait and see or start him over Burress in week one against KC.

I like your team, though I personally might have passed on Gates and grabbed another WR, though in PPR Gates s/b fine. RB - you only start 1 so I think you are ok and hopefully Jackson gains playing time. I'm late but I agree hold onto T Bell for now at least, and as the season wears on he should still get some playing time behind Jones. I like your QB and backup. Good pickup with Jones - has some upside. Nice team and you look to be in good shape.

On the official website depth chart he isn't even listed as a WR and is the 2nd string PR and third string KR. Can that be right?

Gives a bit of flexibility.

Can that be right? Yes, Jacoby Jones is going to take over the #2 WR spot soon (if it hasn't already been decided). He's just too damn good to keep off the field. #1LionFan 0 Posted September 2, 2007 I like your team, but I personally have avouded Maroney throught my drafts. Just a hunch but I do not trust NE offense to rely soley on one back. He may turn out to be worthy of the 1st rnd pick tho.
