SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted September 4, 2007 Yes, I picked Ronnie Brown in the mid-3rd Round and am already ready to bail. I passed on several quite good WR1's (Reggie Wayne, Torry Holt, etc.) and am now having a serious case of buyer's regret. Any ideas about whom I should expect in trading Brown and whom I should I ask for that might be reasonably accepted or considered? Team (Start - 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1DST/1K) (standard scoring but add 0.5 PPR): (In Order of Draft) 1. L Johnson 2. T Henry 3. R Brown 4. D McNabb 5. D Bears 6. C Benson 7. L Coles 8. B Edwards 9. C Chambers 10. J Witten 11. J Norwood 12. S Gostkowski

S Gostkowski Yeah you really should have went WR, considering you had LJ and Henry already. Sad to see a season go down the drain so early. Better luck next year! see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=284009
SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted September 4, 2007 AWM; thanks. Okay, so seeing my glaring error (and possibly beer infused decision making) what kind of WR should I be asking for so that I can hope for getting something out of this? Of course I could wait and see if Brown pans out.

Of course I could wait and see if Brown pans out. Problem is, I don't think you'll get value for Brown now with the combination of the concerns over Chatman (not legit), and the legit concerns over a horrendous Miami offensive line that will impact his play. I'd wait it out and hope for some decent early performances. You got value for your bench RBs, but it cost you decent starting WRs. How many people in this league? SaintsInDome2006 441 Posted September 4, 2007 Thanks for the advice. Hopefully Cameron plays him fully and he's productive. The League has 10 teams/owners, all pretty sharp. I've put some feelers out for some of the receivers I passed on that went in the 3rd - 4th round, so far receiving a couple rejections. I've got a couple more offers out there, but I was thinking maybe I should be thinking WR2 at this point. It's a 0.5 per catch PPR league too, so I guess I'll be working the WW next week as I should probably not dump Brown this early; perhaps he'll pan out. maqs31 0 Posted September 4, 2007 I think you might be stuck for now, which also might be better for you if Ronnie gets off to a good start. You may want to try to trade for Randy Moss, which might be an even deal. I don't think you'll be able to Reggie Wayne or TJ. Maybe it's worth a package for Holt, who's dealing w/ an injury. Would try to get this quick. Otherwise, you'll have to wait and hope his stock rises.

You could probably get a guy like housh, Burress, Evans but I would see how Miami does against washington week one. That could kill you but sometimes it is worth it to lie in the bed, When RB's start goind down you never know. After looking at there frist six games I say keep him, was, dal, NYJ, oak, hou, cle. Then trade after those games it gets pretty rough/

Beef Ravioli 0 Posted September 4, 2007 At this point you are going to have to sell low. I would wait and maybe he pans out and does well. Then you have three good backs or you have one to trade. If he doesn't do good you are in the same boat as you are now, selling low or packaging with something else. Thanks for mine
chow chow 0 Posted September 5, 2007 You're better off just waiting it out and hoping he puts together a couple of good games and sell high because you wouldn't get much for him now unless the other guy doesn't know about Miami's RB situation.
