Me_2006 14 Posted September 16, 2007 Gay-Rod is definitely the MVP greatest of all time. I hate saying it, but it is true. I'm a BoSox fan too, but he's just too much. Even at 30 he's put together a rediculous resume` and this is around the age when most guys start to put up the monster power numbers.

Me_2006 14 Posted September 16, 2007 I wouldn't say the best of all time. I dunno, I wouldn't say that yet, but I think he's definitely on pace for it. He's laid the groundwork and seems to just be getting better. He's starting to become tougher mentally and I just think that if he stays healthy, that by the time he's 42-43 like Bonds is, that we'll be seeing him hit number EIGHT 55 or so into the stands, while making 4000 trillion bagillion dollars a game for a team that doesnt get out of the first round of the playoffs

Me_2006 14 Posted September 16, 2007 what do the SOX have to o to have him at shortsop nexter years? Dip into Schilling's ALS funds more than likely. The Yanks and LAAOCOOCOTUSAOAONAOTWHOEOTW (Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim of California of Orange County of the United States of America of America of North America of the Western Hemisphere of Earth of The World) will throw some serious money at him and with the other contracts already in place (Dice-K, etc) it will take a deal to move Manny and some other guys to free up the cash for A-Rod. I'd like to see it though.

I'd like to see it though. Schilling, Clement, and Lowell all come off the books at the end of the year. There alone is roughly $30M. Of course for the length of contract A-Rod is going to want you have to keep in mind that they will need money to sign some of the younger kids that they currently have cheap but Manny's contract could provide some of that depending on how long they plan on keeping him (the last 2 years, 2009 & 2010 I think, are club options.)
