whiteknight 0 Posted September 22, 2007 ok, here's the deal.. I have bush, MJD, jacobs, ward, sammy morris, and norwood as my RB's....big ben and rivers as my QB's..one, problemd besides bush and MJD being non-existent, both have bye weeks week 4. I have been offered trent green and either peterson or mcgahee for roth and buush...do I take that trade? leave link, I will respond..thanks..
steppdaddy 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Were talking Vikings A. Perterson right? You need a back badly but you might be giving up to much. Bush will break out and leaving yourself with only rivers isn't good. I would ask for Peterson and his back up q.b. for ben and Bush. See what you can do. If he won't budge, take Peterson and hit the waiver for a q.b. Thanks for the reply and good luck.
nolefan 0 Posted September 22, 2007 dynasty? who is roth? if not dynasty, I would trade bush and roth for green and mcgahee. McGahee is a#1 RB and Bush is in a RBBC. If it is dynasty I would NOT trade Bush.
vjjjc 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I don't like relying on Rivers either. Besides that I would prefer McGahee over Peterson. I know Peterson is explosive and all that but the team around him stinks and he is a rookie. There is already talk of how he is bad at pass protection, not patient enough... Rookie rb's also hit the wall around week 10. Plus Taylor will be back soon. Childress might still consider him his starter. McGahee although boring, is a better bet for the long haul. I think Rivers will come around though.. so either don't do the trade and take your lumps in week 4 or take McGahee and try and get a qb off him. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=289627
vwneogeovw 0 Posted September 22, 2007 BigBen has had some very weak opponents so far.....no way he keeps up his pace. SO, I dont think losing Ben is a big deal. He is a perfect sell high candidate. Obviously if you do the deal, your gonna need someone to backup Rivers. Green is serviceable, but not the optimal choice. Anybody better on the WW? If I were you, Id do the deal, but get McGahee instead of ADP. Once Chester Taylor comes back, ADP will lose carries and he wont be putting up the #'s he has so far. McGahee has no competition for carries except for a spell once and awhile, and is the feature back on a team that plays good D and likes to run the ball. (Although the Ravens should be running more, and I think they will) Also in regards to Rivers, the Chargers have had two rough matchups so far, and he will definitely put up better #'s. As far as Bush goes, I dont see why everyone has been all over his jock. He is in a RBBC. If your not in a PPR league, his value in considerably less. He will def. be better than he has been so far, but I think Payton realizes that Deuce needs to be more involved in the running game, and Bush needs to be more involved in the passing game. Overall, the way I see it is, your selling high on Ben, and getting good value for Bush considering his start. McGahee is gonna be a top 10-14 RB, I see Bush as more of a 15-20 RB. Pull the trigger IMO. Help me: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=289603
theyhateme 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Its a pretty decent trade- if your heart is with Peterson take the trade- if not, keep what you have becuase youre not really upgrading your RB too much and you would be downgrading your QB
ben4uf 0 Posted September 22, 2007 i personally do not like trent green or the fins so i wouldnt want him. would he go for a 1 for 1 trade? i'd prefer mcgahee over bush since he gets most of the carries. thanks for reply on mine.
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted September 22, 2007 Big Ben has had weak opponents = he hasn't had to pass alot. Ben is a much better option than Rivers or Green. Peterson seen his best this year in week 1 (he may get something close to his week 1 performance one more time). If you feel you need to make one of those trades, i'd definitely go with McGahee. -bp- 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I really think you would be better off with what you have. I would at least wait on it, or at least try to make a pairing for a better QB than Green. You're going to need a better RB eventually but don't hurt your team for the season just to cover the bye week.
Cmoney22 0 Posted September 22, 2007 Yep Id wait or try to get a little better QB here. You get a good RB, but Bush could still come back here and put up RB1 numbers. You lose way too much at QB to do this trade, so just wait, it has only been 2 weeks. GL
dpfantasy 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I think you're better off with what you have. Good to think about the bye week, but it's not worth having a worse team for the rest of the season just so you have a shot at winning in week 4 -- that's just one game. Trent Green is looking like waiver wire material, and some in Miami are already calling for him to be benched. Also, not sure if you're in a ppr league or not, but if so then no way would I do the deal because Bush will catch more passes than Peterson and McGahee together. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=289723
