DaBeerz 88 Posted September 29, 2007 How long can a company withhold your vacation pay after you have given your 2 weeks notice, and left with proper documentation (Signed letter of notice)? Shouldn't the vacation pay be on the next cheque they issue to you after you have given your notice? This is crap, my last job only paid me my regular salary, I should have been paid out for vacation for the year.
p.man 7 Posted September 29, 2007 I don't know, but why should they have to give you a vacation pay check when you are the one quitting the job? I could see you getting it if they were the one's who let you go. But you quit.
lambert58 71 Posted September 29, 2007 Our company spreads out the vacation pay after the regular pay stops: For instance I turn in my notice and still have my 2 weeks of vacation pay due to me. I would receive my last two-weeks paycheck and the following pay period I would receive my vacation pay.... You should see it all but they don't have to pay you one lump-sum payment. itsbigmoni 1 Posted September 29, 2007 Yea, they should've given it to you with your paycheck. You'll get only what you earned so far. My brother quit and left for a new job about a month before the end of his third year. They had to pay 11/12th of his 2 week vacation time. Even though that vacation time wasn't available for use until the third year passed, he still accumulated 11/12ths of the time and had to get paid for it. Recliner Pilot 61 Posted September 29, 2007 How long can a company withhold vacation pay?, After you have given my notice? Why would I be giving your notice. I would consult the employee handbook since every company figures it differently.
