Know Doubt 0 Posted October 8, 2007 I'm in Amman Jordan and I claim it for FFToday Geek Club(slams FFT flag into the the ground). I can only compare it to Mexico. Everybody is really nice and if they don't understand you they just smile. At first I thought the architecture sucked but I couldn't keep my eyes off the skyline at breakfast yesterday. Lots of square white buildings but most have thier own personal touches that make it interesting, ie flags, plant hangers, decks, etc. The cable here is pretty cool, I've watched soccer from like 6 different leagues. England, Scotland, Spain, France, Italy, Africa, the ME and the Champions League. They of course have Al Jazier(sp?) AND Fox News, CNN all in English. Plus theres a buncha arabic soap opera channels. We all know Voltaire is in China, whats the farthest away from 'home' that you've posted...??? btw Voltaire, in Paris last week we saw the house that philosopher Voltaire lived in. My Wife(34C) is on TDY helping somebody out at our embassy here for a few days, then we get to go to Petra, the Dead Sea, etc. This is her last day so we're off to the desert tomorrow for the next three days to see all this stuff. Sure hope my health holds up.
