bill belichik's hoody 0 Posted October 11, 2007 Here is my team in a 10 person league, standard scoring but there's a 4 pt bonus for 100 yards rushing/rec and there are 2/4/6 pt bonuses for long TDs. QB Schaub QB Favre RB Westy RB LJ WR Holt WR Holmes TE Gates K Kasay D Chicago QB Culpepper QB Garrard RB Portis RB Graham WR Roddy White WR Stallworth i think i can package LJ, holmes, and garrard for betts and moss. LJ has a bit more upside than portis, but there's a decent chance that clinton is equal/better and with the betts handcuff i do not have to worry about injury. Garrard actually has decent value since there are no starting QBs on the WW, but he's my 4th QB anyway and is really only multiple injury insurance. Holmes has upside but Moss is just a blatant upgrade over him. Plus I open up a roster spot that I can use to add Buckhalter or something. So I trade a bit of RB upside and QB injury insurance to upgrade Holmes to Moss. It is probably going to make my team better, but am i doing the other guy too much of a favor? This is one of those trades where I would do it if I had a team that only had one win at this point and I just felt it is time to make a move. If you are 3 and 2 right now with the team you have or better I would stay put for the moment. But by all means if you fire bullet if your team is struggling and you need to gamble because I think you have a good team that can better as is. see mine if you get a chance (chamber or A. Davis)

jdjacks10 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I believe I would do it. Look at it like this, i dont think u will lose that much with CP starting instead of LJ. If CP goes down nyou have the backup who will produce good. Moss is a huge upgrade. The best WR in the game right now. I think you are shaping up your team to be an elite team. Just my opinion. I agree. Sometimes what looks like a better trade on paper really isn't. Sure the guy you're trading too might come out with a little better team, but your WR upgrade is huge. You have the depth at RB to get it done so although you're giving up alot, you actually come out ahead. Thanks for mine.
Texansfan 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I'd do it. Portis/Betts is a soild RB to go with Westbrook (hell of alot better than LJ). Meanwhile your #2 WR is sketchy. Thanks for mine!
loki993 0 Posted October 12, 2007 thanks for answering mine. the trade looks good, but if I was the moss owner, id probably reject it. youre most likely taking his best receiver, by far, and giving him depth, hes taking a hit at WR definitely and taking a big gamble with LJ, but that would depend on his RB situation. to be totally honest though, I dont see anyone on youre team I would want to trade moss away for, but thats just me. like I said I dont know the other owners situation. mrgymrat 0 Posted October 12, 2007 I can't see why the RANDY Moss owner would do this. It doesn't make sense for him... if it's Santana Moss, Kate Moss, or Sinorice Moss then it makes sense. This trade is wishful thinking on your part OR your trading with your little sister!
bill belichik's hoody 0 Posted October 12, 2007 thanks for the responses, guys. i pulled the trigger today. the guy who i traded with is 1-4 and his team is decimated by injuries. he has rudi johnson and laurence maroney injured, so he's starting deshawn wynn and chris brown at RB this week. and we start a QB-flex, but he has only one QB (rivers) and is starting bobby engram there- garrard is a significant upgrade. so he is filling some serious holes in this deal, although i do like my end better. i'm happy about doing this.
