Shula tries to save his gravy train

Don Shula is one of the most respected people in all of sports. If he thinks the Patriots are tainted because of cheating, then the Patriots are tainted for cheating.

 

Shula saying the Patriots are tainted is the same as if Jesus H. Christ magically appeared on earth and said everyone associated with the Patriots are going to hell. That is if you believe in that kind of stuff.

It reeks of dishonesty to suddenly act outraged

 

Have you even read or seen any of the interview? He was not suddenly outraged at all. Hell, he had just as much good to say about Belichick and the Pats as he did bad. The reporter asked him a very specific question and he answered it. You make it sound like he was picketing in front of Gillette Stadium or something. Geez, talk about over-reacting and misrepresenting a story.

Now ESPN is running a story titled: "Shula Softens on Patriots Asterick"

 

He is not softening anything. He answered the questions this morning the same as he did a few days ago as well as a few weeks ago.

 

Instead of ESPN admitting the story was originally misrepresented and overblown, they spin it saying that Shula is softening his remarks. What a farce.

 

Between this story and the whole "LJ is out for the year"..... NOW he is not. My respect for journalism and the media itself has taken a real hit. When will these reporters and editors stop trying to make up the news and just report it?

Yeah well just another reason I want the Pats to go 16-0. I am so tired of those old bastards in South Florida speaking out when teams like the Pats in 07 and the Colts in 05 are a real threat to their record. Shula and the rest of them will probably jump off a cliff when the Pats do go undefeated cause this is all those annoying geezers have to live for.
