I never ripped on the packers dude, I just extreamlley glad they didnt make it to the SB and win it....Some of your guys just dont understand the rivalry....

You can say it's because of rivalry, but it's sour grapes due to rivalry.

However, I guess if the Packer fans did this to you guys last year after the Super Bowl then all is fair?

Bears fans took crap for weeks while still winning in the playoffs let alone after the SuperBowl. Giving a little back is certainly warranted. :dunno:

I have to disagree, the QB postion would be fine with grossman if he had better protection, so i think the help is more needed on the line... The WR's could use a lil help, but they are far from the worst in the NFL... I duno wtf you are thinkning when you say we need DB help, Tillman and Vasher are both playmakers, We have Ricky Manning JR. in a BACKUP spot, and Mcbride is did fantastic this year. The safty spot is a lil bit weaker now that Brown cant stay heathy but Mcgowan and Manning have done great filling the shoes and will only get better.....your nuts dude

Dude, you're delusional. You just managed to explain away every serious problem the bears have. Here is some advice. Try to watch some games other than just bears games. Don't just read the Sun Times or the Tribune. Try to get a feel for the rest of league and then you'll be able to make an honest assessment of your team. I have nothing in particular for or against the bears. I'm a Steelers fan, not an angry packers fan. You probably think that the u.f.o. they dropped into soldier field makes a nice new stadium too. Are the cubs also world series bound now that they have Jon Lieber? You think your bears are good because of their record last year and only because of an injury here and there and a bad break or two did they fail to be as good this year. FYI. Last year's schedule was a gift from the football gods. They are not the team you think they are. Stop cheerleading and start analyzing.

Im aware the o-line is a mess, and with proper protection Grossman is a really good QB, and has one of the best deep balls in the NFL....

Hester is going to be the next Steve Smith in the passing game too, on top of returning kicks and punts, which he is 2 TDs away from being the best ever.

well, your, um, "optimism" is to be applauded...i guess

Well first off bro, i watch every game that is televised in Chicago on every Sunday, Monday, And Thursday night, i cant watch games on Saturday because i only have cable, and on top of it I follow every game I cant see on NFL.com....so ya i get to see allot of other games, its pretty lame of you to assume that i just watch bears games. I dont read either the Sun times or the Tribune, I really dont read the paper honestly....

I never said you were a packer fan and Congrats on being a Steelers fan, i dunno how that has anything to do with my posts

I dunno how you assume that Jon Lieber would be the key pick up that brings the cubs to the world series, I've already seen Leiber pitch and i know what he can do, so dont put words in my mouth, and yes I DO BELIVE THE CUBS ARE WORLD SERIES BOUND THIS YEAR.... its key acquisitions like Kosuke Fukudome, and the play of up and coming stars like Felix Pie, Geovany Soto, Ryan Theriot, And Ronny Cedeno that im excited about, not to mention we also have some very key guys named Lee,Rameriez, and Soriono. Kerry Wood has the potential to be one of the best closers in the league and i think we have a very solid pitching rotation......but this thread has nothing to do with the cubs so i dunno why you would even mention them......

I love how you think you know stuff but you dont. You're the delusional one

BTW ill be rooting for the Steelers in the SB..... o thats right they didn't make it either.... shucks

I called it. You have now proven in ONE thread that you know nothing about TWO sports. You're as predictable as cubs' world series drought is long.

How many FULL games have you actually watched him play....Im not talking about ESPN highlights....hey i may even be one of the only guys even in chicago that likes grossman, i just see alot of potential...and since there are NO QB's in FA that would be an upgrade from grossman so why not keep him and give him more protection.

The Game against the Cards last year

His New Year's Eve Game

His game against the Pats last year

Playoff win vs. Seahawks (good game against a decimated secondary)

Superbowl

His loss to the Cowboys early in the year

Loss to the Seahawks this year

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. He has a good arm, but doesn't have the brain to use it effectively. Get a decent pass rush after him and he makes stupid decisions. I've seen enough to know he sucks, McNabb would be a monster improvement.

Hey if we could get McNabb (wich i would love to see him come home) i would gladly watch Grossman sit on the bench, and im glad to see youve watched some games...most people just go off of espn..Hats off to you bro....All i was trying to get across was the QBs that are in FA this year are not an improvement. But hey if we can pull off a trade then ya, Grossman should sit...

I like Volek, maybe he could pull another Garrard if given the chance. Well, maybe a poor man's Garrard.

One QB (Grossman) played in a SB (you know after winning playoff games that he was never supposed to win....remember all that delusional hating last year?), the other (Volek) is a joke and a back up for a reason.....but you would want Volek to start....clearly your ignorance is startling to say the least.

It was also Grossmans first full year as a starter...

the packers have won 11 of the last 15 in illinois.....

and when dallas loses in the playoffs, gb will have home field again...

i won 4k betting the under on the bears...under 10.5 wins..thats NINE glorious money making losses by the bears while u were in hiding...thanks for having an overrated squad down there..it WILL be a happy holiday!!!

gb didnt do anything with the home field but they got it...happy 4k and other prediction bump for the B... :dunno:

with a home schedule that features indy and dallas..it wont be easier for gb...

BUT..chic goes to both cities..advantage, gb....

the bears should go after a billy volek or mcnabb..

maybe its the cubs and being delusional that does this but NO ONE down there should be wanting grossman back....you fans are like the battered wives..he lets u down game after game...prepares as little as romo..you get mad at him..and after a month of no football...your memory fades and you want him back....

why? and please..dont spin numbers like torrid joe would...the guy sucks...

this....from someone who still thinks that grossman is the answer....

if u had ANY decent QB, youd have won the SB...you had a small window of opportunity and you decided to put it all on a qb who admitted that he doesnt prepare for games....

low expectations still the norm there?...what do u ow grossman and why is orton always getting the raw end of the deal?...focker beat gb and wins just as often as grossman...

Ive supported grossman through the ups and downs, so my memory never faded, No way is volek an upgrade, and there is NO one in FA that i would consider an upgrade from him unless we can pull off a trade, or grab a guy in the draft, so why would we downgrade...Keep Grossman (unless can pull a trade off) and either he dose real good and brings us back to SB, or dose bad.....

If we keep Grossman and he has yet another bad year, then i will gladley stop supporting him...I myself am on the "Last chance" wagon. Then we can go to FA next year were there will hopefully be a better crop of FA, or go to another guy we drafted.

Orton is an option.... all i know is that there will be an OPEN competition in training camp for the QB spot...and its up to management to decide.

And I still think that the QB spot is not the only spot that needs big improvement. Cedric either has to get traded or lose his job to another ( Turner, when he gets here ), and the O-line needs big time help....the addition of another WR would not hurt either

not that im a GM..but i saw the bears as CLOSE....grab jeff garcia and let it rip...

keep thomas jones and not benson...

go easy with hester at WR and dont risk him getting hurt...

but instead..they stuck with the 3 headed qb monster...messed around with lovi smith..angered lance briggs...

this offseason cant be worse..but it HAS to be better...

trust me..as a seahawks fan..THEIR offseason needs more work...

i may like volek more than i should..so maybe i cant rip fans for liking grossman...

Is this the same Thomas Jones who did not have more than 1 or 2 TDs all year this year? :bandana:

Is this the same Thomas Jones who has never done anything in the entire league before he played for the Bears OL?

The Bears OL was a bigger issue this past year; Jones is no upgrade over Benson. And Benson was doing well the last 2 games before he got hurt. See his run against the hawks for a TD and the runs against Denver before he got hurt.

People do not realize how difficult the Bears schedule was this past year, especially against the run (Bears played against NFC East which sent 3 teams to the playoffs and another team, Eagles, who almost made it too)

Most of the Bears opponents this past year were very good against the run (see how many teams made the playoffs and how many were 7-9 to 9-7):

San Diego; Minny twice; GB twice; Giants; Cowboys; Redskins; Eagles; Detroit twice; KC; Denver; Oak; Saints; Seahawks

Oak was the only cup cake in terms of run D (even Detroit had a better run D compared to their pass D; even Saints had better run D compared to their pass D)

I Disagree, letting go of Jones was a big mistake, but not something i will dwell on...

I aslo disagree with your Benson statements....that guy is a bum dude, We need to cut our losses with him and move on.

Yeah, Good Job torching that GREAT Seattle Secondary consisting of a Rookie, a bail bondsman and Jordan Babineaux at corner, not to mention perrenial burn victims Ken Hamlin and Michael Boulware. Didn't that game go into overtime?

And the Saints had such a great secondary one of their big off-season aquisitions was that David guy from Indy who got abused all season.

Try again "boy"

you decided to put it all on a qb who admitted that he doesnt prepare for games....

There is no bigger lie than this. :dunno: ...Grossman has always been known to be a very hard worker. He in fact bought a house right next to Halas Hall so that he could come to work out/watch film etc in the off season. All the coaches and his team mates attest to that; just because he did not play well in a new year eve game that no one on the Bears cared about means squat; and guess what the Bears went on to come back from the bye week and beat both the seahags and the aints....but some whiney seahag fan who is also a green gay fudgepacker fan knows better I guess  :dunno:

it was morre ryan grant than brett favre in the seattle game

Favre had a pretty good game though.

But it was more the Oline and Grant having great games...and the defense too. Favre managed it well and was along for the ride.

But two very good throws to Jennings for TDs...another good one down the sideline to Jones I think, after turning the DB around with a pump fake.

Yup...oh well...unlike Lovie...McCarthy's goal when he came to GB was not first to beat the Bears. We have higher aspirations than that as Packer fans and have done that quite well over the past say...15 years.
