ERZER 0 Posted July 26, 2008 Just got back from seeing Styx & Boston playing at a somewhat smallish arena; wife got tickets for our 26th anniversary. About 1/5 of the audience maybe a little more was from people who would not have been very old or alive when both bands were big. Styx was awesome and proved my wife right, they should not have been opening for Boston, it should have been the other way around. While Boston played some good toons, they had the mic's turned down way to low and what you could hear wasn't that great. We finally got up and left after a pretty good "jam" session, but I just don't think I'll bother to see them again. If you have the cash then I'd recommend seeing them, just don't expect Boston to perform as good as Styx.
tikigods 76 Posted July 26, 2008 Boston must sound pretty different without Brad Delp. Shame he killed himself.

ERZER 0 Posted July 26, 2008 Yeah, who is singng for Boston now? Tommy DeCarlo . This guy is pretty close to the same sound...what I could hear. Still they ok, but other than the two times they were doing some jam sessions, they didn't come across as a live band group...........at least not as well as Styx.
