Vikings4ever 550 Posted August 17, 2008 Right knee. Got whacked, completed a 3 step drop pass, then collapsed on the way to the sideline. Now he's got ice on the knee.
Vikings4ever 550 Posted August 17, 2008 Out for the game, but still on the sideline. Hopefully it won't be too bad.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted August 17, 2008 The guy always seems to be hurt. I would not be surprised in the slightest if it is serious. Childress' man love for this guy is eventually going to kill this team one way or another.
psunate77 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Not to switch subjects in this game, but Ray Rice is a man... ADP looks very unimpressive, especially in the red zone.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted August 17, 2008 ADP looks very unimpressive, especially in the red zone. That is very good news. Taking it easy. Look at what happened to Jackson. They should not even play Peterson until week 1.
Vikings4ever 550 Posted August 17, 2008 Now he's standing on the sideline, so it shouldn't be anything serious. Of course, Olandis Gary played about a quarter on a torn ACL a couple years ago, so you never know.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Whether the injury is serious or nothing, the point remains that the guy gets hurt an awful lot.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted August 17, 2008 ADP looks very unimpressive, especially in the red zone. From the StarTribune Viking pregame notes- Peterson’s carries: The running back did not touch the ball in limited duty in the preseason opener against Seattle. It’s expected he might get a few carries tonight but Brad Childress has made it clear he knows what Peterson can do with the ball in his hands. The Vikings’ primary focus is seeing how Peterson does in pass protection situations. This is huge because if Peterson can be counted on to pass protect he can stay on the field in far more situations than he could last season.
Gepetto 1,370 Posted August 17, 2008 Anyone know why Berrian didn't play?
dreadlocks34 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Anyone know why Berrian didn't play? I believe they said a sore toe. Im guessing it was precautionary.
edjr 6,602 Posted August 17, 2008 ADP is going to have a decent season, but be a huge fantasy bust considering where he was drafted.

GhostofMeanMachine99 1 Posted August 17, 2008 ADP is going to have a decent season, but be a huge fantasy bust considering where he was drafted. Agreed. He'll never be able to live up to the hype. He was very average down the stretch last year. He's also a second year player. Not sure if it's a great idea to not play him in the preseason. He needs the reps and experience, just like any second year player would (especially in a WCO).
Barnaby Wilde 0 Posted August 17, 2008 Right knee. Got whacked, completed a 3 step drop pass, then collapsed on the way to the sideline. Now he's got ice on the knee. NFL Network reporting it was a MCL sprain and he will sit out next week's game.
